Real vs. Steal – Stuart Weitzman 50/50 Boots

by Vanessa on November 14, 2011

UPDATE: This post has been updated on November 14, 2011. Scroll down to see the new add.

I’m not sure why they call these boots 50/50, when they’re 100% awesome, but I’ll take them! Stuart Weitzman has been a household name in evening shoes for a very long time. Many people don’t know that the collection features far more than glitz and glamour for the feet. There’s everyday booties, bags and wedges to name a few. In my fashionable opinion, each year the shoes get better and better looking, but the amazing comfort stays the same. So it’s no surprise that many of Hollywood’s leading ladies are consistently seen in Stuart Weitzman shoes on and off the red carpet. These below photos are sure to get you less sad about leaving summer behind.

Promiscuous “Karin” Boots

Many fashion loving ladies have told me that they have trouble getting slim fitting boots over their athletic calves, often forcing them into ankle boots. While I love the way ankle boots look, diversity is important in a wardrobe. Luckily, these fabulous Karin boots by Promiscuous will solve that problem and get taller boots onto all feet this year!

“I’m not sure why they call these boots 50/50, when they’re 100% awesome”

… 50/50 IS 100%.

Amanda November 4, 2010 at 4:01 PM

Vanessa… clearly your wit and sarcasm are lost on the people who do not remember learning about metaphors in 8th grade English class. Don’t worry, I got it. And to the other poster, “Emily”… if you want to get technical, 50/50 is not 100, it is 1. 50+50=100.

Irina November 4, 2010 at 4:20 PM

I agree with Amanda about Vanessa’s remark being a metaphor. The 50/50 could also be understood as fifty : fifty (a ratio) which would make sense because one half of the boots is made of leather while the back is made of an elastic fabric.

emily November 4, 2010 at 5:39 PM

looking at it as a fraction FIFTY out of FIFTY certainly does not equal 1.
maybe you should review your 8th grade MATH.

But thank you, Irina, looking at it as a ratio would make sense.

Irina November 4, 2010 at 6:19 PM

Emily, I’m no math genius, but even as a fraction 50 out of 50 most certainly equals 1 which also is a 100%. So you’re both right. But let us not quibble about mathematical terms and rather talk about the boots! ;)

Amanda November 4, 2010 at 10:02 PM

Umm… not to be totally petty here, but Emily what exactly does fifty divided by fifty equal then?

I love the Eiffel boots – so adorable for a blah fall day!

Christine November 14, 2011 at 3:24 AM

Another knock off at Kohls

jen November 18, 2011 at 11:33 PM

LOL. Boots look great. Guys I think what Emily meant was…when you get a 50 out of 50 on any rating it would be considered a 100 or full points. Like 5 stars out of 5..etc.
