Anyone remember these Zara flats? For a couple of weeks, these were the no. 1 shoes on Instagram and it seemed like everyone and their mom owned a pair. If they look somehow familiar to you, you’re absolutely right as they are a beautiful hybrid of Isabel Marant’s studded Leo flats and Aquazzura’s Christy lace-up flats (see another lovely Isabel Marant and Aquazzura hybrid example here). I’m not sure how much they retailed for, but I guess probably somewhere around $80. Now that isn’t expensive for a pair of chic flats and probably also the reason why these babies were sold out in no time at Zara. I tried my best to score them, but no such luck! Boohoo!

Pedder Red “Joey” Eyelet Suede Lace-Up Skimmer Flats

Another great alternative would be these suede lace-up flats by Pedder Red. They’re probably more expensive than the original Zara version, but the quality looks pretty good here, so they might be worth the splurge. Available for $165 in various colors and uppers.

Stuart Weitzman + over-the-knee boots is apparently a foolproof formula for commercial success! Don’t believe me? Just look at all the various fab fashion bloggers rocking their Stuart Weitzman OTK boots below! It all started with the iconic “5050” and is now followed by Weitzman’s next set of super hit boots: the “Highland” (which we have already written about a few weeks ago, see the post here) and the “Lowland” which we are featuring in today’s Real vs. Steal post. Both boots are almost identical in design, but have either a flat heel (Lowland) or a high heel (Highland, d’uh!). It’s certainly not the first pair of OTK suede boots we’ve seen come out in the last couple of years, but definitely the most successful and coveted one (we’re still counting the reader requests for this one). As with Stuart Weitzman shoes in general, they don’t come cheap. Especially not the boots and especially not the over-the-knee kind of boots. These beauties here – please hold your breath here – cost $798! Yup, I cried a little too when I saw that price tag. Luckily, we were able to find a couple of fantastic dupes that will save you the trouble of having to rob a bank to sport this season’s hottest trend.

Lipstik “Magda” Faux Suede Over-The-Knee Boots

Update (04/15/2016): Spotted this lovely Stuart Weitzman Lowland boot alternative by Lipstik today. So close to the real deal, right? And quite budget-friendly at $129.95 AUD.

Mollini / Top End “Leer” Over-The-Knee Boots

Update (04/15/2016): I also stumbled upon this Lowland dupe by Mollini / Top End (seems to be the same boot, just rebranded). Available in black or taupe for $229.95 AUD.

Dolce Vita “Neeley” Flat Suede Over-The-Knee Boots

My personal favorite first: the “Neeley” boot from Dolce Vita, a spot-on “Lowland” dupe with very positive customer reviews for roughly 1/3 of the real deal’s price. At $300, it sure isn’t a steal find and probably won’t be an impulse buy for anyone here, but if you like the style I suggest you better hurry up with your purchase because Nordstrom and PacSun have most sizes still in stock, the other shops however have mostly sold out of this boot already (seems like people have noticed the similarities to Weitzman’s Lowland boot very quickly).

Aldo “Barra” Lace-Back Suede Over-The-Knee Boots

Next up is a boot by Aldo. “Barra” is also spot-on in terms of design when compared to the Lowland. It’s $110 cheaper than the Dolce Vita version, but the reviews for this one are also rather mixed. Anyway, if you want to give it a try, these boots come in either taupe or black suede.

Steve Madden “Odina” Flat Suede Over-The-Knee Boots

Of course Steve Madden couldn’t miss the opportunity to join in on this knock-off game as well! “Odina”, like the other Lowland look-alikes above, is nearly identical to the real deal, but costs only $149.95. Though I do have to add that this boot has a fabric upper unlike the dupes above which are made of genuine leather.

Choies Stretch Suedette Over-The-Knee Boots

Still not in the mood to pay that much for faux leather boots? Well, then how about these Lowland dupes by Choies for a little over $50? Same design, veeeeery different price tag and the customers seem to love this one, too.

Public Desire “Joy” Over the Knee Faux Suede Boots

Deal: 10% student discount (excludes sale items)! Worldwide shipping available!

Another budget-friendly option are these faux suede OTK boots I discovered at Public Desire. They’re available in 3 colors and cost under £40 (plus, students get 10% off!). Yay!

Schutz “Lois” Suede Flat Over-The-Knee Boots

And lastly, Schutz. Another absolutely fabulous and spot-on look for less alternative for Stuart Weitzman’s “Lowland”. And not too expensive either at $125 (sale price!) as well! Unfortunately though, they’re almost sold out at MyHabit and I couldn’t find any other retailer stocking this beautiful boot (boohoo!).

I was never a huge fan of jewelry up until a few years ago because I would always feel bothered and constrained in movement when there were earrings dangling from my ears or bracelets clattering on the table. Ever since becoming a fashion blogger however, I have made my peace with the inconveniences of jewelry and even grew very fond of it. My jewelry collection nowadays is not to be scoffed at, but I’m still missing Tiffany & Co. in my jewelry drawers. This bracelet from Tiffany’s “T”-Collection would be a great starter piece for example because it’s both versatile and modern and can be either worn alone or as part of an arm party. Too bad the price tag of $5.200 is killing all my jewelry dreams though.

So I’ve already gushed in detail about the gorgeousness that is Dolce & Gabbana‘s S/S 2015 collection, but what I haven’t gushed about yet is this gorgeous floral embroidered body-con dress by House of CB which I discovered about an hour ago. I immediately had to drop everything, so I could write this blog post and share my beautiful (and budget-friendly) find with you, that’s just how excited I was about having come across this dress. House of CB has done quite the heavy copycat math on this one; somehow they managed to turn a $14.500 dress and a $7.500 skirt into a smokin’ hot $214 dress. Now that’s what I call a serious steal deal! Get this beauty of a dress before it sells out (and if you dare to wear such a racy look). Rock this frock with a bold red lip, sleek ponytail and dramatic eyeliner (hi there, Kendall!) and you’ll be the perfect Dolce & Gabbana femme fatale on a budget!

After a quick summer hiatus, we are reporting back with another Real vs. Steal post! And this one’s featuring the very famous Love Knot Bangle by Tiffany & Co.. Personally, I absolutely adore the minimalistic design of this bangle and its symbolic meaning. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that this piece of jewelry is a particularly popular wedding gift. And while I couldn’t find an exact price for this online sold-out item, I would bet, even though this is “only” sterling silver, it still is everything but a cheap buy.

The most spot-on Tiffany & Co. dupe comes from Eve’s Addiction. Unfortunately, it’s also the most expensive one at $68 (now on sale for $28.90). But then again, this one’s also made of Sterling Silver just like the real deal, so at least it shouldn’t be a downgrade quality-wise.
