Espadrilles! These summer shoes have risen to fame in the last couple of seasons with Chanel and Valentino leading the pack of the fabulous espadrilles. We’ve already done a Real vs. Steal on Valentino’s highly popular lace espadrilles from a few seasons ago and now they’ve updated their shoe collection with a just as stylish crochet version. But as gorgeous as they are, do you actually see yourself spending $675 (!) on a pair of highly delicate espadrilles? Well, I can’t.

Over the years I have fallen in love with so many Louboutins that I always thought: “Well, now he has outdone himself! I couldn’t love a shoe more!” – But then this shoe came along. The “Impera” – a truly imperial lasercut lace-up stiletto pump. So how divine could a shoe be? And even though it’s usually very hard for me to love a white heel, this one I absolutely ADORE! In both white and black leather. Just look how gorgeous these shoes look on the celebs! I’m especially in love with how Alessandra Ambrosio has worn her Loubies. Too bad they are a) sold out and b) totally out of my budget.

These heels by Jessica Buurman don’t quite live up to the quality of the Louboutins above, but for 1/10 of the price they do come pretty close, don’t you agree? They come in various colors and I am now contemplating which one to get them in. Any advice from our fabulous readers?

So it’s been a while since we last had Monsieur Christian Louboutin starring in one of our Real vs. Steal posts and we also haven’t covered flats in a while, so why not kill two birds with one stone by showing you a pretty neat dupe for these gorgeous spikey Louboutins? Now aren’t they beautiful? The pointy ballerina shape is all elegance and femininity while the silver spikes clearly say: “You better not be messin’ with me, b***!” Too bad their $995 price tag says: “Girl, you better have some money on ya ’cause we ain’t cheap!”

ASOS “Lightning” Studded Ballet Flats

Luckily, we managed to come across these wonderful Louboutin look-alikes at ASOS which are a spot-on Pigalle flat dupe when compared to the real deal, but cost a mere $48 (this is less than 5% of the Louboutin’s price!). A few sizes are already out of stock, so you better grab these quick if you find yourself lusting after some spikey Louboutin on a budget.

I might not be the biggest Kardashian fan in general, but for some reason I always find myself interested in their fashion and what they wear on- and off the screen. Fact is, the Kardashian sisters have really stepped up their style game in the last couple of years (which is probably mainly due to them having hired highly skilled personal stylists and MUAs) and if I had to pick my favorite Kardashian fashion-wise, it would have to be Khloè Kardashian. I love that she wears all her clothes with so much confidence and it never looks as if she is trying too hard which I think is sometimes the case with Kim and Kylie’s fashion choices. A few weeks ago Khloé wore a super sexy strapless button-front sheath dress by Cushnie et Ochs for her TV show “Kocktails with Khloé” which instantly reminded me of Liz Hurley’s infamous safety pin dress from Versace that she wore to a film premiere in 1994. I love Khloé’s look head-to-toe here and really hope that ASOS, Topshop or Missguided will come out with a budget-friendly steal option in a couple of weeks for this sexy (and sadly, very pricey) dress. What do you think of Khloé’s revealing look? Hot or not?

Budget Look – Vacay Mode

by Irina on April 29, 2016

It’s almost May which means it’s time to start thinking summer wardrobe. The weather here has been so depressing lately that I needed some sort of fashionable pick-me-up to lighten my mood, so I started dreaming about a summer vacation in Greece or Italy and all the stylish summer outfits I could wear there. And just like that a new budget look was born! This outfit has a strong focus on fringes and ruffles, a cute and casual summer look. Do you approve?
