I’m such a fan of Saint Laurent‘s classic shoe line, but why does it have to be so darn expensive? Spending $685 on a pair of simple black pumps? Not in my budget, unfortunately.

When I first saw the “Bellantomod” Lace-Up Back Open-Toe Booties by Manolo Blahnik, I couldn’t really believe that these are supposed to be Manolos because the designer usually goes for a more elegant and timeless style direction. This high heel though screamed Tom Ford or Gucci to me. It’s a very sexy and stylish shoe; I love the lacing detail in the open back of this so-called “shootie”. As you can see from the pictures below, Vicky B. is also a fan. And who can blame her? However, not everyone of us has VB’s shopping budget, so we came up with a list of possible Manolo alternatives for you.

My (and a lot of other people’s) favorite Stella style is her iconic “Falabella” faux leather bag which we have featured here on this blog in its numerous variations many times already. And today we’re showing you yet another Falabella – the fringed one! Bohemian laid-back cool mixed with metal chain-trimmed, modern-day edginess equals total bag perfection! Until you look at the price, of course. $1.995. Oh my!

Chanel espadrilles, round 3. This time we’re showing you the leather version (see the mesh and canvas version here). The top color combination is my personal favorite! Perfect shoes for summer, don’t you agree? I’ve said it before: despite the hype surrounding these shoes I still really like these cute espadrilles, but there’s no way I would spend so much money on a pair of espadrilles even though I can imagine that the leather version is the most durable of all the three variations. But still, $550? Um, no, thank you.

I have a feeling this summer will be the summer of the espadrille. First we had Valentino’s lace espadrilles and Chanel’s iconic cap-toe espadrille flats and Céline have created their own version in form of this pony hair espadrille slipper which also comes in gorgeous leopard print and royal blue (my fave!). I couldn’t find a retail price for these, but I’m sure they’re totally out of my budget.
