Back in May, one of our readers emailed us in search of Emma Watson‘s stunning white column gown which she wore to the “Noah” UK Premiere in London in March.

Hi there,

I am trying to find Emma Watson’s dress that she wore to the UK premiere of Noah. I know it’s Ralph Lauren. But I can’t find it on his site. Any similar suggestions or where to buy it is of great help to me.

Thanks
Gail

As soon as I laid my eyes on Emma at this red carpet event, I was swept off my feet! She looked immaculate in her silky white column halterneck gown by Ralph Lauren and her Jimmy Choo shoes and clutch. Her dress was quite likely custom made, that’s why I tried to recreate Emma’s outfit for the girl on a budget. Hope you like my take on Emma’s look, Gail!

I have a feeling this summer will be the summer of the espadrille. First we had Valentino’s lace espadrilles and Chanel’s iconic cap-toe espadrille flats and Céline have created their own version in form of this pony hair espadrille slipper which also comes in gorgeous leopard print and royal blue (my fave!). I couldn’t find a retail price for these, but I’m sure they’re totally out of my budget.

We’ve discussed the fabulousness of Céline bags various times on this blog already, but did you know that the French design house makes some pretty great eyewear, too? Take their “Audrey” sunglasses for example. I love the simple yet chic design of these super black oversized sunnies, but the price tag of more than $250 (and we’re talking sale price here) is unfortunately a little to steep for my budget. Boohoo!

Even though I am not very partial to Birkenstock shoes, I know Céline made them “très cool” last year. And this year, we have Isabel Marant strengthening their coolness factor even further by adding a cute studded bow on top and giving those bland Birkenstocks her typical boho touch which we’ve seen in previous of Marant’s collections. Well, I have to admit I kinda like these summer sandals here and I bet these suckers are super comfortable to wear!

Well then take a look at this Jessica Buurman sandal which is quite obviously inspired by Marant’s “Edris” sandal above. It’s not a perfect dupe and you obviously won’t get the same quality, but it’s $440 cheaper, so that’s that.

I usually don’t deem flip flops dressy or fashionable, but as so often Chanel once again proves me wrong. How lovely do these PVC thong sandals look? I really like the classic color combo of black and ivory here and also the Camellia flower embellishment – Coco Chanel’s signature flower – which is such a nice way to dress up a pair of plain ole’ flip flops, don’t you agree? And how cute does the CC logo link look? Such a sweet little detail to add! I’m not sure how much these flip flops retailed for, but I think it must’ve been around $550-$600. For a pair of PVC shoes! Yeah. Chanel ain’t for penny pinchers, people!

Target Jelly Flower Flip Flops

Obviously, most of us can’t or won’t spend that kind of money on a pair of jelly shoes, but how about $13? Well, that’s more like it, right? Check out these thong sandals by Target which look very similar to Chanel’s Camellia flip flops. Of course, they are missing Chanel’s superb quality (and the cute gold CC-logo), but for $12.99 they’re a fab alternative to the pricey Chanel version.
