Real vs. Steal – L.A.M.B. Zan Open Toe Platform Booties

by Vahni on September 8, 2010

UPDATE: This post has been updated on September 08, 2010. Scroll down to see the new add.

True confession: I have been sweatin’ these insanely hot L.A.M.B. platforms for a while. They meet all the V-requisites: part gladiatress, part S&M mistress; kind of sexy but kind of scary; superhigh and superfly—I don’t think superkawaii can apply because these babies have bad girl written all over them. That Gwen, she can make music, babies, and a killer pair of shoes—this pair is Zantastic!

UPDATE (09/08/2010): Although these platform sandals have a few differences (cork platform, red stitching), it’s still more than clear where Type Z got their inspiration from for these. Available in black or brown.

Michael Antonio “Teeter” Platform Sandals

As much as I worship the L.A.M.B. Zan, three bills is a bit steep for an Imelda-in-the-making like me. At the rate I buy shoes, that would quickly add up to $1,500 or so every couple months. And that’s a reality I’m not prepared to deal with at this point. A better reality is the “Teeter” by Michael Antonio. All the style of the Zan, for a whopping $68. You know what that means, don’t you? That’s $236 left for…you guessed it, honey…more shoes.

I own the LAMB ones and they are SOOOOO high!! I can only wear them for a few hours. Maybe the others are lower in height as well as price?

Shoe Girl…oh, you lucky thing! What size do you wear? Since they’re painfully high, you can give them to me!

Hi Celine (aka ShoeGirl)! Thank you for your comment here on InTheirCloset.com. I have your blog in my feedreader and am just envious of all your gorgeous shoes! Lucky thing indeed. :)

I just compared both versions from the side and Michael Antonio’s steal version is definitely feet-friendlier (still pretty high though!). But the L.A.M.B.s — OMG! These are insanely high, really realized it when I took a look from the sideview. I think the best I could do in these are a couple of minutes… hehe… crazy! :)
