Real vs. Steal – Jennifer Behr Spiked Turban Headwrap

by Vahni on June 18, 2010

I was so not feeling the whole turban trend until I spotted the Spiked Turban Headwrap by Jennifer Behr. I think I have at least 30 more years before I’ll contemplate working a full-on turban (à la Liz Taylor), so I’m not ruling it out. But for now, this supremely spiky number might be the only turban I think the younger fashionista could wear without looking like a complete trend victim. It’s just so bad, it’s good, non?

Alright, so I’ve convinced you that a crown of silver spikes is a good thing. Unfortunately, the Jennifer Behr Spiked Turban Headwrap is not only insanely expensive at $498 (for a headwrap?), even if you were prepared to pony up, it’s totally sold out. But you can still scare all the little children (and probably some big people, too) with the Spikey Stud Headband from Topshop. Fashion, fear and fabulousness, all for only $60. No wonder why Topshop is the top stop for style mavens across the globe.

Thanks for this validation that my turbans are not necessarily overpriced! Love your blog, see you on Twitter!

Thank goodness that’s a headband! I thought it was a choker at first.

60 bucks is still way overpriced for something that you could make yourself in a matter of a few hours.
