Real vs. Steal – Christian Louboutin Clou Noeud Spiked Slingback Pumps

by Irina on April 6, 2011

UPDATE: This post has been updated on April 06, 2011. Scroll down to see the new add.

All hail the master of the stiletto, Monsieur Christian Louboutin. Whenever I start wondering which Louboutin will rock my world next I discover a style like the “Clou Noeud” (try spelling that!), a perfect symbiosis of a feminine blush bow-adorned slingback pump and rocker, kickass conical studs and a platform a stripper heel would be proud of. Needless to say we’ve gotten quite a few reader requests for these beauties which are long sold out how despite the shocking price tag of $1.195.

Frederick’s of Hollywood Peep-Toe Leather Artillery Pumps

UPDATE (04/06/2011): Since the N.Y.L.A. version is currently sold out, I thought you might be interested in this CL look-a-like by Frederick’s of Hollywood. They’re only available in black though and are probably just a non-/re-branded version of the N.Y.L.A. heels.

N.Y.L.A. “Genevieve” Slingback Platform Pumps

If you follow me on Twitter you might have read my tweet where I said that I just might have found THE knockoff of 2010. Well, here it is: the “Genevieve” by N.Y.L.A.. The color and heel vary slightly, but otherwise they’re practically twins. Except you’ll only have to pay a fair $105 for the N.Y.L.A. platforms to get mad Louboutin style on a budget. Now wouldn’t these be the perfect christmas gift to yourself or any shoe-loving fashionista on your gift list? They come in either nude, red or black leather.

I love the original Louboutins, but not many people can afford those!

With the N.Y.L.A. pair, I’m not a fan of the darker beige color because it looks like it will blend in with most skin tones (like mine for one) and disappear.

Although slightly pricier, I think these Filthy Magic studded slingbacks are a better alternative. The black color makes these look even edgier:

DAYUMMMM!!!!! i wish i can have the NYLA version… and the FILTHY version!!! i wanna cry now…

Viv December 29, 2010 at 6:49 PM

Has anyone purchased the FILTHY MAGIC version? I just bought the ones at nordstrom but contemplating buying the FILTHY one.. although the site looks sketch, and they have a NO REFUNDS policy… just store credit. what are your thoughts ladies??

xtine December 30, 2010 at 12:30 AM

Hi Viv,

I haven’t purchased the filthy magic version yet, but it’s definitely on my to buy list. Their website is definitely legitimate and not sketch at all. I’ve purchased from them multiple times (my reviews are under Christine Be). The website isn’t quite as well known as other online retailers because they’re relatively new (only over a year old).

There’s a review that was left by a customer for the studded slingbacks.

They also have an active twitter account if you have any burning questions: http://twitter.com/filthymagic

@Viv Wondering why you think the site looks sketch? A lot of other webstore also have no refund policies as well.

Brandie of ChicFabu has purchased these shoes from my filthymagic as you can see in these two photos she put up on her website’s wall. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=183978378279427&set=t.508642202 & http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=185692834774648&set=t.508642202

@xtine & Ria, Thanks gals! I really appreciate the info and photos :) I never purchase from boutique stores before and was un-aware that “NO REFUND” policies were normal. Judging from both your comments, I think I’m gonna take the plunge =D
I’ve already placed an order for the Nordstroms ones, and will prob purchase from Filthy since they look sexier :)

xtine January 3, 2011 at 11:21 PM

@viv Enjoy! I hope you love them as much as I love all my Filthy Magic shoes :D .

Irina January 4, 2011 at 12:10 AM

Hi Viv,

the FM version looks really good and if you decide to go for these instead of the N.Y.L.A. ones, then do it as they look quite decent, but please be aware that Ria happens to be the owner of Filthy Magic which I think she failed to mention in her previous comments. I’m not saying what she says is false because of her affiliation with FM, but I think it’s only fair for you to know before you make a purchase.

Have fun with your heels! :-)

Ria January 4, 2011 at 12:29 AM

That’s why I asked why she thinks the store looks sketch? Because I’m the owner and I’d like to know. I’m tagged in the photos I linked as the owner I’m not trying to hide that.

Irina January 4, 2011 at 12:35 AM

I did not suggest that you were trying to hide it, Ria. I just think it wasn’t clear enough in your comment if or if you aren’t affiliated with FM, so that’s why I decided to jump in.
