Real vs. Steal – Chanel Resort 2009 Two-Tone Woven Booties

I’ve been wanting these woven Chanel booties for almost a year now. They first caught my attention when I spotted them on the Chanel Resort 2009 runway. It was love at first sight. Time went by and I almost forgot about my secret love for these shoes, but then I saw them on Solange Knowles’ feet again and my love was reignited. However, Chanel isn’t the wisest shopping choice with the budget available to me, so I began my online journey to find budget-friendly alternatives in the style of the Chanel open-toe booties. Unfortunately my search was luckless. No Chanel knockoffs far and wide. Until now when I spotted two in one day. Yay!

Jeffrey Campbell Cage Heel

This cage heel by Jeffrey Campbell is a good Chanel look-a-like, but I wish they would’ve kept the original swirled heel.

GoJane Caged Peep-toe Heel

If spending $200 for a knockoff sounds off-putting to you, these woven booties knockoffs from GoJane ($39.90) might be more to your liking. They’re heavily inspired by the Chanel booties except for the heel which is a stiletto one here. Also available in 2 other color options: pink and green (ew!).

I love this shoe, but I am not crazy to the alternatives. The Campbell heel is not cute and the 2nd alternative I can only guess by the price that the leather is not real. I’ll keep checking back for another knockoff that is not 1k but wouldn’t mind shelling out 200.00.
