UPDATE (07/26/2010): Finally, the regular price for the Zoe boots has dropped to an almost reasonable $199. But this price ain’t good enough for us. We found a way to get these darlings for the awesome price of $159.20 including FREE SHIPPING! Just head over to Shoes.com, put the Zoes in your cart, enter promo code “SHOEDEAL” which takes off 20% and voliá Zoes for under $160 which is less than half the price of the regular, re-introduction price. Yay! But hurry, the promo code is only valid until the rest of today, so get shopping, ladies!
If you’re acquainted with the style blogger blogosphere you’ll already know that Sam Edelman’s “Zoe” Harness Boots have made quite a glorious comeback last year and have landed on dozens of wishlists from fellow shoe addicts ever since. Unfortunately these Balenciaga-esque booties were reintroduced with a price tag that’s pretty hard to swallow: $350! Ugh! And up until now, more than half a year later, these are far from going on sale. People just keep buying them full-price. And even if you’re lucky enough to find these booties on sale somewhere there’s either only size 10 left or the shop is out of your size before you can complete your order.
But, finally, you have a chance to get these booties for a whole lot less ($280 instead of $350; you’re saving $70!). Lord & Taylor is currently running a promotion where you can take 20% OFF regular and sale price items and they happen to have the Zoe boots in all sizes available right now. Just enter coupon code “SIMPLE” at checkout and save a big chunk of cash! But hurry, the offer is set to expire tomorrow (03/15/2010). Oh, and did I mention you’ll get FREE SHIPPING as well? Score!

HOT DEAL: Save $20 on your $100 order of select back-to-school styles.
So it was only recently that I bought my first pair of 5 inchers. OK, it were 3 first pairs. All of them were pumps and they all had a double platform to support the towering stiletto heel. And boy do I love my new 5 inch heels! I mean they look just breathtaking on. They make my legs go on for like a mile and I instantly feel soooo much sexier when I’m wearing them.
Surprisingly, they’re not as painful as I pictured them to be. In fact, during the first hour I feel next to no heel pain due to the double platform which takes away a lot of the heel height and doesn’t make the arch quite as hurtful. Now don’t be fooled, they’ll still pain the hell out of you eventually after 2-3 hours, but judging by the looks of the boyfriend and other male bystanders, I’d say it’s totally worth it. It does take some time getting used to the fact that you’re hovering on a big ass platform above the ground, but after some practice around the house you should be able to rock 5 inch babies like a pro. Wanna start your first love affair with a super fabulous 5 incher? Take a look at the ones below by Miss Me. Absolutely adorable, aren’t they? Also, super sexy and relatively light on the wallet at $55.95 per pair. Alright, I might just have found my 4th pair now!

I couldn’t help myself. After a very shoe shopping heavy June, I promised not to buy any new shoes in July because 7 pairs in 4 weeks are quite enough for a while – even for a shoe fanatic like me. And I’ve been good for one full week. But then I discovered that the Chinese Laundry chiffon booties which I’ve been secretly admiring and stalking for the last few months have been restocked again. And I happened to have a 20% OFF discount code for a German shoe shop here, so I took the plunge and just ordered them. Yup, I have a serious shoe shopping problem.

While I love my bow pumps and frilly, ruffle-adorned satin shoes sometimes I want something with an edge. Something dangerous, aggressive, mysterious. Something that says “This lady is not to be fooled around with.” Sam Edelman‘s Lorissa pumps certainly fit into the latter category. Their spikes and gem encrusted heels will make for a spectacular backview and double as weapons in case you need to kick a pushy, drunk dude trying to hit on you. For $189.95 you’ll get a lot of sartorial edge à la Kirkwood for Rodarte, too.

Isn’t it amazing how a brand called Joe’s Jeans whose main focus lies on denim makes such remarkable and outstanding footwear? We first wrote about a pair of their shoes just recently in a Givenchy Real vs. Steal post and now they’ve managed to astonish me yet once again with the fabulousness of their shoes. This sky-high “Diva” platform has something Fendi about it, but I think I actually prefer it over its designer pendant. Everyone knows I love a platform because they make a really high heel so much more comfortable and this specific one here reminds me of Charlotte Olympia who is a great shoe designer. Another bonus: the nude color. I’m officially in love (I often am I know)!

I rarely do more than 1 Shoe of the Day posts per day, but this one I have to share with you. These dangerously high platform pumps by Michael Antonio just popped up on Endless and I felt it would be better to share them with you immediately since my gut tells me these won’t be around for too long. Not only because they look so kickass with their gold lined stacked double platform, but also because they’re quite reasonably priced at only $58.50. The pumps come in 5 different colors (black, grey, red, navy and brown) which all look great, but the black and red (faux) suede are my personal favorites. Black being the always-goes candidate while red stands for turning heads everywhere you go. L.O.V.E.

I’m crushing hard on animal print right now. Not sure why because I don’t own anything with animal print on it and I never used to like it, but for some reason that has changed overnight! I wouldn’t go cheetah head-to-toe, but a printed scarf or a pair of shoes I approve. These platform wedges by Jeffrey Campbell just won’t go out of my mind. The style is very reminiscient of a pair of Dolce & Gabbana wedges, but this isn’t why I’m so crazy about them. I love the cheetah print! I picture these with a ton of outfits in my head already. Bonus: they are currently on sale! Decisions, decisions…

HOT DEAL: Use coupon code “SUMMER” to receive 15% OFF + FREE SHIPPING!
If you couldn’t guess by now wedges are THE summer shoe of 2010. Espadrille wedges have an especially summer feeling about them, don’t you think? So I recently happened to come across these Michael by Michael Kors flower espadrilles and boy am I in love! I picture them with everything one is practically living in during the summer months: airy dresses, roomy cargo pants, denim cutoffs, rompers, bikinis… you name it.

I do have a strange affection for sky-high heels, but I’m very well aware that they’re not a 24/7 option. Actually, no high heel is doable 24/7, but there are definitely a couple heels which will take you through a full workday or an evening out on the town. The best compromise between looks and comfort is somewhere in the 3″-4″ department in my opinion. I happened to stumble upon the most gorgeous pair of such doable high heels on Endless today. Aren’t these nude pumps by Enzo Angiolini just totally divine? I’m soooo in love with the blush color and while they probably wouldn’t match my skin tone very well (I have a yellow undertone whereas these clearly have a pinkish one), I still love these pumps beyond goodness. If you’re not on the hunt for the perfect pair of nude pumps, Zappos has these heels in an array of different colors & finishes (12!) including such lovely ones as turquoise or yellow. Oh, and did I mention these are $60 only? Awesome!
