Shoes

I’ve gotten very used to seeing budget fashion brands copying designer labels, but it still always baffles me when I see two renowned designer houses copying from each other. And this happens to be the case with these two-tone platform pumps here. I’m not sure whose shoe came out first – Giuseppe Zanotti’s or Jimmy Choo’s – but it seems like someone’s taken one too many clues from the other. Sure, it could be a coincidence that both brands bring out a nude/black almond-toe shaped two-tone platform pump at the same time, but I’m having my doubts about that. What do you think? What’s your guess on who’s been the copycat here?

As a statement shoe, these swirl pumps by Sergio Rossi are very eye-capturing and even fascinating to look at. At first glance, they appear to be reminiscent of an illustration; something along the lines of a high-end Alice in Wonderland image, or generally a fantastical caricature. The swirl accent really brings something unusually brilliant to the table and the cobalt blue color simply compliments the entire theme. Although these pumps are quite adventurous, they can be paired with numerous outfits and really add a nice, eclectic vibe. Of course, uniqueness such as this, isn’t cheap, hence, the steal below!

Paris Hilton “Cheyanne” Suede Pumps

Although Paris Hilton isn’t exactly popular amongst the fashion world, admittedly, her imitation or perhaps inspiration abilities are very worthy in this case. This “Cheyenne” Suede Pump is like an affordable manifestation of the designer heels above, boasting the very same features: swirl accent, silhouette, and cobalt blue hue. Not only are they a mirrored image of the real deal, they are also quite a steal at $109.99! Plus, they’re available in quite a few colors such as red and black suede in addition to the cobalt!

My first impression of these shoes: I desperately want to own a pair of these Valentino Rockstud Peep-toe Platform Pumps. Subsequent logical thought: I cannot afford these high-priced beauties. Though in my case these pumps are unattainable, I feel inclined to absolutely love them. They are the perfect evening shoes and flawlessly correspond with any wardrobe. They can be worn with a pair of skinny jeans and, combined with the right accessories, transform a simple look into a noteworthy ensemble. And to restore our sensibilities, check out the affordable look-a-like below!

New Look Black Patent Stud Trim Peep-toe Heels

The similarities between these New Look Patent Stud Trim Peep-toe Heels and my Valentino fantasy shoes are simply gleaming through, but with one major distinction: hence, the obvious price difference! With an emphasis on the edgy character these pumps maintain, the gold studs are subtle but also give off a rock star-esque feel. And while they mimic the pumps above, the budget price of £27.99 makes these pumps even more attractive. With an extra shipping charge, they can be shipped to any location!

It seems the fabulous Beyoncé Knowles was spotted wearing a Marc Jacobs Fall 2011 Two-Tone Polka Dot Knit Dress on the streets of Paris looking ever so chic. What really makes this ensemble work for her is the overall silhouette – the pencil skirt and blouse definitely give off the perfect sexy-librarian vibe. But what really pulls a look like this together is the effortless looking updo, romantic accessories, and gorgeous textured bag to add a bit of luxury and mystery to the equation. Ready to recreate this look for yourself? Start with a top and skirt with the same pattern, but in different colors and don’t be afraid to mix and match accessories to keep from looking too tightly wound. In this case, it’s quite refreshing to see a few hairs out of place. Add to that peep-toe pumps and some bohemian-style earrings, and you have an outfit that looks both young and sophisticated. When in Paris, after all.

Balmain is all the rage right now. The label gets worn a lot these days. Balmain’s Spring 2009 collection was such a great success! One of the most wanted items from that collection were the studded embellished high heel sandals. Amazing, right? After hitting the shelves of NET-A-PORTER, and priced at a whopping $2.300, these heels completely sold out within just a day or two. If you can afford the real thing, I recommend to invest in them. If they are way out of your budget, no need to panic! We have found a bunch of affordable Balmain alternatives for you.

ALDO was one of the early adopters of the Balmain shoe trend. Their knockoff version “Smeal” has been around for a few months now. It’s not my favorite among the Balmain knockoffs, but it’s certainly a good alternative to the real Balmains.
