Who could’ve imagined that Isabel Marant would start a hype that is both so passionately loved and hated such as the wedge sneakers trend? I know I didn’t. But Marant’s “Bekett” shoe has conquered the whole fashion world and you’ll probably have a hard time finding a shoe shop that hasn’t jumped on the wedge sneaker bandwagon. Personally, I think these wedge sneakers can look good with a few outfits on a few body types, but I don’t think I really fit within that category, that’s why I haven’t yet bought a wedge sneaker. Not that I could afford the real Bekkets in the first place. Or would be willing to spend more than $700 on a sneaker shoe.

Steve Madden “HILITE-C” Denim Wedge Sneakers

If you’re standing on the “pro wedge sneaker” side, just turn to Steve Madden and you can have your own “Bekket”-style velcro sneakers for a budget price of under $100 (sale price!). They don’t look quite as refined as Marant’s “Bekett” sneakers, but the savings are enormous so I wouldn’t complain too much.

Miu Miu is known for comfort and beauty which is merely exhibited by these Glitter Ankle Strap Sandals. The glitter adds that extra detail which contrasts with the black piping. Though the silhouette of the actual shoe itself is quite simple, the contrasted tones bring out the extraordinary appeal. Unsurprisingly, the overly expensive original price was $730! However, if you are willing to make a noteworthy splurge, in comparison to the original price these are now on sale for a milder budget of $383.25! If not, check out the steal below!

GUESS “Laren” Glitter Sandals

These “Laren” Glitter Sandals by GUESS are a great look-a-like, and on the positive side are affordably priced at $94.99! I love how the glitter effect can be utilized to create an evening look, or paired with tailored trousers for a perfect finishing touch for both day and night. Though the Miu Miu sandals above may be out of my reach, these ones are not only in my budget but also perfectly coincide with the general concept of the design and style. And although I love the silver glitter with the black, the black glitter is just so effortlessly chic!

Is there a shoe that’s more festive than a sparkling bow-adorned pink slingback high heel sandal like this one by Kate Spade? It’s such a cute style and would be the perfect heel to wear to a New Year’s Eve party! Too bad these pink beauties cost a whopping $325!

I’ve gotten very used to seeing budget fashion brands copying designer labels, but it still always baffles me when I see two renowned designer houses copying from each other. And this happens to be the case with these two-tone platform pumps here. I’m not sure whose shoe came out first – Giuseppe Zanotti’s or Jimmy Choo’s – but it seems like someone’s taken one too many clues from the other. Sure, it could be a coincidence that both brands bring out a nude/black almond-toe shaped two-tone platform pump at the same time, but I’m having my doubts about that. What do you think? What’s your guess on who’s been the copycat here?
