I think we can all agree that espadrilles are the ultimate summer shoes and Chanel happens to make some of the most gorgeous ones. However, we’re all a tad over the overhyped espadrille flats now, aren’t we? So what’s the best solution if you still crave Chanel espadrille goodness? Enter Chanel’s lace up sneaker espadrilles: a pair summery beige and black lace up espadrilles infused with a heavy dose of sneaker coolness. Just look at how laid-back Kendall Jenner wears hers with a simple playsuit and a pair of oversized shades. Gorgeous! But $595 for espadrilles? Oh my.

Charles David “Harlow” Lace-Up Espadrille Oxford Booties

So you crave Chanel, but there’s no way you’d spend that kind of money on shoes? Then how about these cute espadrille booties by Charles David as an alternative to Chanel’s pricey pair? They do have a few differences, but the overall look is still overwhelmingly Chanel, no? Plus, they’re currently on sale for $129 (down from $180!).

You can always count on Sergio Rossi to pump out what I call “Cinderella” shoes: breathtaking, but totally over the top yet one-of-a-kind and “be the belle of the ball”-shoes that make the inner 8-year old girl in us scream out in excitement. Case in point: Rossi’s “Flora” slingback sandals; a delicate pair of Swarovski crystal-studded leaf-shaped slingback high heels. The black version would be a great choice for any special occasion like a red carpet event or a glamourous cocktail party and the ivory pair would make the perfect bridal shoes! Only downside? The astronomical price tag! Even the 50% off sale price is still way over €700.

Nina “Fauna” Crystal-Studded Satin Slingback Sandals

No need to worry though because Nina is here to save the day! Their “Fauna” sandal (how obvious can the naming be though? Flora. Fauna. D’uh!) has a very similar design compared to Sergio Rossi’s “Flora” heels. The price however is much easier on the wallet, although I wouldn’t exactly call them a steal at $139.99 (sale price!) either. Plus, these come in additional colors such as gold and pewter as well. So if you want Sergio Rossi for less, these heels here are probably your best bet right now.

Can you believe half of the year has almost already gone by? Time flies, my friends, and summer has officially arrived – at least in our calendars! In order to celebrate the seasonal change, I created my first 2015 summer budget look to properly welcome the season of pool parties, BBQs, tan lines and cool drinks. For this look I took to the summer sky as my source of inspiration: baby blue with a little bit of cloudy white here and there and splashes of summery yellow everywhere in between.

When scouring the big interwebs for designer dupes I automatically stumble upon many great budget finds that aren’t designer-inspired (or at least not that I would notice) and hence don’t get the same attention and love on this blog as the steal finds which, of course, is a shame. That’s why I like to occasionally highlight my favorite budget finds from time to time. ‘Nuff said, enjoy my list and let me know if you have any must-have adds of your own.
