Even though I am not very partial to Birkenstock shoes, I know Céline made them “très cool” last year. And this year, we have Isabel Marant strengthening their coolness factor even further by adding a cute studded bow on top and giving those bland Birkenstocks her typical boho touch which we’ve seen in previous of Marant’s collections. Well, I have to admit I kinda like these summer sandals here and I bet these suckers are super comfortable to wear!

Choies Embellished Bow Tie Up Sandals

Update (08/13/2014): Came across a black dupe of Isabel Marant’s Edris sandals at Choies. Not exactly budget-friendly, but very close to the real deal in terms of design.

Jessica Buurman “LEILA” Bow Tie Ankle Lace Up Flat Sandals

So you can’t afford to spend $600 on the originals yet these shoes just won’t go out of your head? Well then take a look at this Jessica Buurman sandal which is quite obviously inspired by Marant’s “Edris” sandal above. It’s not a perfect dupe and you obviously won’t get the same quality, but it’s $440 cheaper, so that’s that.

Oh my, it’s been a while, huh? So sorry we’ve been MIA for the last couple of weeks, but offline life has kept us very busy. However, we’re almost fully back now and should return to our regular posting schedule next week at the latest. In the meantime, have some fun with these stunners from Monsieur Christian Louboutin. I know I’ve said it like a hundred times before already, but I think I have found THE shoe. As soon as I laid my eyes on Louboutin’s “So Kate” stiletto heels I was captivated, it has the most perfect arch ever, doesn’t it? And while I would probably opt for the classic black patent, this snakeskin stripe print version is so much more fun, don’t you agree? Only problem? The price tag, obviously. $1.095 – that would pay quite a few bills for this girl here!

Lust for Life “Krush” Striped Stiletto Pumps

While we couldn’t find an exact match for the orange version, we managed to dig out these fabulous stiletto pumps by Lust for Life which you might remember have also come up with a stunning pair of Tom Ford OTK boot dupes. As much as I love the real Loubis, the cobalt blue color (one of my absolute faves!) and the much nicer price tag of $129.99 makes this an easy choice for me. What about you? Real or steal, which one do you prefer?

The curved heel has been making its appearance quite often among stylish footwear lately, adding a futuristic yet minimalistic flair. Not to spare, Maison Martin Margiela brings us a common yet inspiring open toed bootie with a twist. His take on such a popular silhouette makes this design so easy to wear; the versatility goes on without an end just like the price tag. Beautiful, yes, but also extremely pricey. That’s why we have a steal below that is just as gorgeous as it is affordable!

Obsession of the Day – Blush Beauty

by Irina on June 14, 2015

Lately, I’ve been obsessed with soft, flesh-toned colors such as blush pink. There’s something so quintessentially feminine about that color that makes me want to turn my wardrobe into an altar for everything blush. So when I happened to come across this gorgeous nude-colored draped jersey skirt by Rachel Pally, I simply had to create a blush-toned look around it. I went full on matchy-matchy with this outfit which might be a bit too much for some, but I totally love it. Do you?

Looking back at all the Christian Louboutin designs we have covered here on this blog so far, I realized a lot of the shoes have been pump styles. Which of course shouldn’t come as a surprise because Monsieur Louboutin is exceptionally good at creating lustworthy pumps. But his sandal game is not to be scoffed at. Case in point: the “Athena Alta” t-strap sandals. Their motto: business in the front and party in the back. I love the simple design and the added details that make this shoe stand out in a crowd of simple black sandals. Too bad so much fabulousness comes at a price: at $895, to be exact.
