Shoes

When thinking of Christian Louboutin shoes we inevitably associate the brand with sky-high stiletto heels, but did you know Monsieur Louboutin also designs some very fashionable flats? Case in point: these strass-encrusted lace-up sneakers named “Louis”. We have previously written about the spike-stud version, but I think my favorite would have to be this one because of its super sparkly nature. But, whoah, have you seen that enormous price tag of $2.595? Can’t afford that unfortunately.

Have you ever seen such a sweet shoe!? I’m all about taking it back to the 50s with the saddle shoe influence and making it into an elegant pump like this one by Miu Miu! I love how Nicola Roberts pairs the pump with a long flowy skirt to match the delicate style of the shoe. The pump also looks amazing with any other dress or skirt as its the perfect neutral! This Miu Miu Peep-toe Bow Platform pump is so gorgeous I don’t even know if there can be a steal that looks as good as this one! But nonetheless, I will try especially since it’s priced at $650 and to no one’s surprise, sold out!

Chinese Laundry “Big Bubbles” Platform Pumps

So this Chinese Laundry shoe has the design down and I like the fact that it comes in black. I’m not the biggest fan of the red, but I am the biggest fan of the price! Priced at $109.95 is not too shabby on your wallet!

Madden Girl “LIMMERIC” Platform Pumps

This is the Madden Girl version and granted it doesn’t have that same platform that I absolutely love about the Miu Miu, but it does have the contrasting color if you decide to go with the “bone” color. I think the Steve Madden version is good for someone who doesn’t like a lot of height in their shoe. So, priced at $34.99 isn’t too bad of a deal at all!

When I first laid my eyes on Zara‘s studded ankle boots pictured below, I instantly fell in love with them! Many fashionistas around the world saw these studded booties as Zara’s ode to Chloé’s highly popular Susan boots and so it didn’t take very long until the Zara booties were completely sold out in every Zara store. Personally, I cyberstalked these booties for a few weeks, constantly hoping they would go on sale before my size became out of stock since $199 seemed way too expensive for a Zara shoe to me. Unfortunately, I never got lucky and the Zara booties never became mine. However, today I discovered these almost spot-on Zara dupes at DSW which look practically identical to the pricey Zara version but cost only $69.95 (which is approx. $130 less than the retail price of the Zara booties). The stud-embellishments aren’t quite as detailed on the Coconuts by Matisse booties and the sole is also differently colored, but the overall design is still very close to the Zara original. I must say I’m tempted.

So I know I already raved quite a bit about Rag & Bone‘s Classic Newbury Booties (last time here), but a few days ago I discoreved this lustworthy burgundy suede version and have been obsessed with these classic and minimalistic ankle boots ever since! So much so that I am seriously contemplating biting the bullet and actually get the real deal! I know I’d get a lot of wear out of these because I am weirdly attracted to ankle boots lately and wear them almost daily. Decisions, decisions.

If you’re not too keen on spending $500 for a pair of booties, take a look at this nearly perfect Newbury look-a-like by Steve Madden. Can I just say: Oh. My. God! So in love with these! And they look astonishingly similar to the Rag & Bone Newbury originals, don’t you agree? The (sale!) price of $69.94 isn’t too bad either! Also available in black suede.

There is something flirty yet grounded about wearing peep toe booties with a miniskirt. It somehow instantly makes anything short seem a little more sophisticated. And while you may have been told that ankle boots aren’t for everyone, they definitely can be if you wear them with opaque tights. Plus, the look is perfect for fall. Take this fabulous blue pair by Giuseppe Zanotti, they are such attention magnets and surprisingly a lot more versatile than you’d think. Wear them with blue skinny jeans and a sheer button down blouse for an artsy monochromatic look or with a little black dress and all your pearls for a spin on Audrey Hepburn’s iconic style. Either way, this pair can’t help but steal the show. And it gets better… we found a nearly identical version that costs way less and isn’t sold out.
