The Gucci Huston Mary Jane Plaform Suede Pumps are a fusion of the classic Mary Jane silhouette with a 1970s take, significant both to modern elegance and the disco fashion. The soaring heel draws attention as it contradicts with the mellowness and sweetness of a Mary Jane styled shoe. As these pumps come in several hues, I have to say that every color is uniquely presented bringing a sense of disco-like glamour to the table. I admire the the plum purple hue with the deep gold piping as it is sophisticated yet retro-chic. These pumps are essentially iconic and representative of 1970s trends which are resurfacing into the modern fashion world.

These buckled ankle boots were designed by shoe design genius Giuseppe Zanotti for the hottest brand in Fashionville right now, Balmain, for their Fall 2009 footwear range. I wasn’t really a fan of this collection until I saw these badass rocker booties. My only problem: finding the pocket change to afford these. Sigh!

I know summer is almost over when I find myself starting to look for shoes to wear in the fall. These studded ankle booties called “Otway” by Isabel Marant have been on my wish list for months now, but as with most of the things on my wish list, they are way out of my budget let alone the fact that they aren’t even out yet.

I’ve been really loving Prada shoes as of late. Their footwear range for Spring and Fall 2009 was truly exceptional and just when I was starting to understand the appeal of Prada I was beyond disappointed to see lucite shoes return from fashion hell onto Prada’s Spring 2010 runway. Damn you, Miuccia Prada! I’m on a fashion rollercoaster with your fashion house. I do appreciate these studded t-strap sandals however also known as Ashley Olsen‘s studded obsession.

Celebrity Look 4 Less – Ashley Tisdale’s White Lace Dress & Leopard Booties

I find it hard at times to pull off a cream lace dress or really any lace for that matter, but Ashley Tisdale is exemplary of how this trend should be worn. I admire the crochet details at the cuffs and the hem as it adds a dose of ornamentation to this rather simple dress by For Love & Lemons. The Louboutin leopard print booties are such a chic addition, but are also quite costly. Check out our take on more of a budget-friendly look below.
