I must admit the first time I saw the “Palais” pumps by Yves Saint Laurent I didn’t like them very much. While I was madly in love with the vibrant blue suede, what I didn’t like was the carved heel and the exaggerated round toe. But as I previously said, sometimes you have to see a shoe on a person to truly recognize its beauty. And this was the case when I spotted the lovely Carey Mulligan wearing these iconic YSL pumps. From this moment on I was a reformed “Palais” lover.

Now I can love YSL shoes as much as I want, I still don’t have the $$$ to splurge on them. So what’s the next best thing? These YSL look-a-likes by Promise, of course. Sure, they’re not as delicate as the originals and lack a few details, but they’ll definitely give you the YSL look and all for just $30. Available in blue, black and pink faux suede.

Each season everyone’s favorite shoe genius, Monsieur Louboutin, comes up with a new signature shape and releases multiple shoe styles (pump, sandal, boot version) which revolve around that shape. This fall it’s the “Fifre” shape: a buttoned shoe with an intricately carved out heel. I instantly fell in love with this style & was waiting for what feels like ages for a CL look-a-like to pop up.

Steve Madden “TRUMPIT” Ankle Booties

Christian Louboutin seems to be Steve Madden‘s inexhaustible source of inspiration. His latest Louboutin inspired creation is the “TRUMPIT” ankle bootie which looks like its designer counterpart’s little brother. The only difference is that the buttons on these here are gold and not black (Cheryl’s version however has gold buttons as well, so there have to be different versions of the bootie). If you’re still looking for the perfect little pair of ankle booties to get you through fall and winter, why not considering these? Available in either black or red suede.

Real vs. Steal – Alejandro Ingelmo Matinee Sandals

by Velicia Hill on September 21, 2011

This heel (almost) puts me in the mood for some groovy disco dancing, a polyester jumpsuit and a long night out on the town. Why? Bronze was so hot during the 70′s. But unfortunately, mixed with this (play it safe) nude/camel color, throws the whole thing off… as well as my mood! This is one matinee (shoe) show by Alejandro Ingelmo, I’ll pass on. I would’ve loved to have seen this beautiful bronze leather mixed with red or black and a higher heel. Nevertheless, if this suits your taste and budget it’s available for $316. I’ll definitely pass for the aforementioned reasons as well as the price. But we found a steal that I’m really digging. Ssshhh… don’t tell anyone, it’s so cute, it should’ve been the real instead of the steal.

bebe “Kendall” Metallic Leather Crisscross Sandals

Is that my mood lamp or am I just so damn happy to see this Kendall heel by bebe? Do you agree? I think it’s so much more modern and edgy with the pencil thin 5 inch heel, the nude & silver are working harmoniously and the best part? It’s only $159 & available in black, too… groovy baby! :-)

If I had to choose my favorite Louboutin of 2009 I think the “Nitoinimoi” bandage ankle bootie below would definitely be up for consideration. There are not enough words to describe how much I love these. However, there is also not enough cash in my wallet to buy these as well.

Anne Michelle Addiction 55 Buckled Booties

Once again Anne Michelle comes to the rescue! Their “Nitoinimoi” knockoff is almost a 1:1 copy of the real deal. The only differences are the missing red sole and the pointed toe which is square on the originals. Everything else from the shape to the bandages and the buckles looks identical. And they’re so inexpensive, too! Only $44. Such a great deal, gotta love LuLu*s.

Boutique 9 “Siaka” Ankle Boots

I know these boots by Boutique 9 are more of an “inspired-by” kind rather than a complete rip-off, but I still think they fit the bill for a great Louboutin alternative. I’m also sort of in love with them even though they are not a steal at $229. Also available in brown.
