I almost get the sensation that I’m looking at a Magic Eye poster when I look at this Givenchy Ottoman Stitch Stripe Jacket. It’s definitely different and very appealing to the eye. I love how Keri Hilson sports it with a pair of black skinnies and a peep-toe boot. Such elegance when it’s worn so simplified. I’m very curious to see how this jacket would look with a pair of jeans as opposed to the all-black ensemble. So, if you want to get the look and not be on the waiting list and spend $1557 on this striking jacket, here are a few more choices!

White House Black Market Striped Ponte Blazer

Update (01/30/2017): Didn’t really expect to find any more dupes of this striped Givenchy jacket after four years, but White House Black Market onbviously beg to differ.

Update (02/25/2012): If you’re looking for a high quality alternative, look no further because this striped Smythe blazer is a great Givenchy look-a-like. It does retail for a very hefty $486.50, but it’s still less than 50% of the original’s price.

Alice + Olivia “Sage” Striped Blazer

I love this Alice + Olivia “Sage” Striped Blazer! I love the shoulders and the pockets! Very similar to the Givenchy and you won’t be out $1557 either. Priced at $368 this jacket is definitely a steal. But, if it still doesn’t fit your budget we have some more for ya!

Aryn K. Stripe Blazer

This Aryn K. blazer has slightly bigger stripes than the Givenchy and the Alice + Olivia, but I’m really enjoying the collar detail around the neckline on this one. And priced at $94, I’d say it’s pretty budget-friendly!

Tart “Camryn” Jacket

Now this Tart jacket looks the most like the Givenchy with the striping. However, it looks more of “going to the office” than a jacket that you can wear more casually. Nonetheless, if you like the look and you’re really loving the stripes of the Givenchy and want something a little more affordable, I’d go for this one!

525 America Striped Blazer

OK, so I’m not sure how I feel about this jacket by 525 America. I like the buttons, but I feel like it should’ve been a full-length sleeve rather than a 3/4 sleeve. Especially since you have the button style of a pea-coat! It does look cute with jeans and priced at $95.99, it might suit your taste for the warmer weather that’s soon ahead.

We do see a whole lot of lace-up bodysuits or tops in stores nowadays, but back in 2015 Givenchy were among the first designers to rediscover this super sexy trend in their badass Fall/Winter collection 2015. Shortly after the collection debut, mega socialite Kim Kardashian wore the runway look head-to-toe, going braless in this deep plunging v-neck bodysuit and – if I might add – absolutely killing it while doing so! Sure, the outfit was risqué, revealing and overtly sexual, but Kim had the poise and attitude to pull it off. The lace-up bodysuit then continued to garner further fame and attraction as more celebrities and fashion insiders have been seen wearing this super sexy, bondage-inspired $2.600 Givenchy number. Yes, you read that right: this bodysuit costs $2.600!

Nasty Gal Bad to the Bone Lace-Up Bodysuit

If you want to try the lace-up bodysuit trend without having to go bankrupt, I suggest you take a long good look at this Givenchy inspired number by Nasty Gal. It’s super close to the real deal, but costs a fraction of the designer price: $78 instead of $2.600! This one’s my personal dupe favorite!

Charlotte Russe Ribbed Lattice Lace-Up Bodysuit

Not ready to go that low with the plunging neckline yet? Or you’re simply looking for a cheaper alternative? No problem, Charlotte Russe has got you covered. Their ribbed lattice lace-up bodysuit has all the important key details of the Givenchy real deal without the neckline plunging down to the belly button aaaaaand it’s super budget-friendly, too, because it’s only $21.99! Major steal deal alert!

Bardot “Tavia” Lace-up Bodysuit

Another fab steal deal option is this lace-up bodysuit by Bardot. Like the Nasty Gal version, this one, too, is very similar to the pricey Givenchy bodysuit. It’s currently on sale for $51, but you have to hurry as it’s pretty much sold out everywhere.

Mary Seng from Happily Grey is one of my absolute favorite personal style bloggers at the moment. I love scrolling through her Instagram feed; she has such a great taste in clothes and I adore her sense of style which is modern yet feminine and elegant yet also bold and fearless. To me it feels like Mary isn’t afraid of playing with fashion and taking risks while at the same time still maintaining her unique style and genuineness. One of her recent looks particularly caught my attention; Mary wore a white oversized chunky knit sweater with a beautiful forest green wool skirt which she then paired with a timeless black quilted Chanel bag. I loved this outfit so much that I just had to recreate it on a more accessible level with budget-friendly options. Let me know what you think of my white and green blogger winter look for less.

So how HUGE was Balmain x H&M, huh? The highly anticipated designer collaboration went live online on November 5th at 8 am EST and it was only a matter of an hour until almost every item of the collection was sold out; all despite the hefty price tags (with prices set around $500-$700 for key pieces, the most expensive item peaking at $699), thus making Balmain x H&M’s collection the company’s most successful designer collaboration yet. The website continued to crash over the visitor overload all morning while eager shoppers in Seoul queued up in front of H&M stores over a week before the official collection launch. The hype surrounding this collaboration has certainly caught on to the masses and it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the collection is now selling for vastly inflated prices on eBay where some pieces are priced at twice their retail value. No word from H&M yet whether they are going to restock the highly successful collection. One of my favorite pieces from the Balmain x H&M collaboration is this gold and white embroidered black velvet mini dress. I love that it doesn’t look watered down and could easily be mistaken for a design from Balmain’s mainline collection. Now would I spend $549 on such a statement dress? Maybe. But due to the hype, I don’t even have to ask myself this question because just like all the other pieces, this beautiful frock is sold out.

bebe Bead & Sequin Crepe Dress

If you don’t want to pay the ridiculously inflated eBay prices and can’t wait a few more months for other fast fashion companies to catch on to this hype to come up with their own inspired Balmain x H&M; look-alikes (c’mon, Forever 21!), I suggest you take a look at this beautiful beaded mini dress by bebe. I know this isn’t a spot-on dupe for the dress above and it certainly isn’t a steal at $299, but the Balmain x H&M inspiration is clearly visible on this frock in my opinion. Plus, unlike the real deal, this dress is readily available for you to buy with all sizes still in stock and all. So you can either keep on stalking eBay waiting for a miracle to happen or you can snap up this dress instead and get your own kind of Balmain party going.

If you think of Salvatore Ferragamo shoes, the first one to spring to mind is probably the iconic “Varacj” pump – a one-inch heeled patent ballet-style bow-adorned shoe. This shoe was first introduced in 1978 by Fiamma Ferragamo, the daughter of Salvatore, and has gained a lot of recognition among celebrities like Princess Diana for example. “Varina” is a spin-off of Vara, a more casual and modern designed ballerina flat with a lovely grosgrain bow on the vamp, which has been around since 2007. I’m usually not a fan of ballet flats, but these are so gorgeous and the quality looks absolutely superb, don’t you agree? I’d so love to own these ($525 isn’t that expensive for a pair of made in Italy designer shoes nowadays). If only I had that kind of shopping budget.
