Real vs. Steal – Jimmy Choo Keenan Caged Sandals
The first time I saw Jimmy Choo’s “Keenan” caged sandal I knew it would be lusted after. And boy was I right. Flocks of celebrities have been wearing this style and it didn’t take long to get me my first “Keenan” Real vs. Steal requests. But at that time there just weren’t any good alternatives available and I had to put the requests on hold. That was until today when I happened to stumble upon…

Jessica Simpson “Cesarini” Caged Sandals
… a pair of caged sandals by Jessica Simpson which look like a 100% copy of the Jimmy Choos except that these here have small studs on the straps. The heels come in either black or silver. I’m so happy I can finally offer a decent steal version for the Choos. Some girls will be very, very happy today.

Real vs. Steal – Christian Louboutin Esoteri Ankle Boots
It was love at first sight with these Christian Louboutin “Esoteri” booties. Not sure they felt the same way about me though. There’s something I love about the Victorian meets school-boy look. What do you think? The price of course makes them a little (OK a lot) out of my reach.

Luckily I found these Louboutin knock-offs at Charlotte Russe and feel that they are almost every bit as good (and much lighter on the wallet, of course).

Each season everyone’s favorite shoe genius, Monsieur Louboutin, comes up with a new signature shape and releases multiple shoe styles (pump, sandal, boot version) which revolve around that shape. This fall it’s the “Fifre” shape: a buttoned shoe with an intricately carved out heel. I instantly fell in love with this style & was waiting for what feels like forever for a pair of knockoffs to pop up.

Steve Madden “TRUMPIT” Ankle Booties
Christian Louboutin seems to be Steve Madden’s inexhaustible source of inspiration. His latest Louboutin inspired creation is the “TRUMPIT” ankle bootie which looks like its designer counterpart’s little brother. The only difference is that the buttons on these here are gold and not black (Cheryl’s version however has gold buttons as well, so there have to be different versions of the bootie). If you’re still looking for the perfect little pair of ankle booties to get you through fall and winter, why not considering these? Available in either black or red suede.

I couldn’t forget these black suede cutout Louboutin booties ever since I first saw them presented along with Roland Mouret’s Fall 2009 collection. I instantly fell in love and was sure these ankle boots would take off in editorials and on the red carpet equally since they are so endlessly chic and far away from being your average generic ankle boot with their sexy nude mesh cutouts. Rawrrr!

Real vs. Steal – Gucci Kills Peep-toe Platform Booties
UPDATE: This post has been updated on January 15, 2010. Scroll down to see the new adds.
I never wrote that much about Gucci clothes or shoes before because basically I never cared about their line nor did it ever appeal to me. This season however their women’s footwear range is just mindblowing and I’m beyond obsessed with their sky-high platform high heels. So dangerous! It doesn’t come as a surprise that the name of these platform peep-toe booties is “Kills” because whoa! they’re definitely KILLER! You know what kills me besides? Their price tag. $990 aren’t exactly pocket change.

HOT DEAL: Use our exclusive coupon code INTHEIRCLOSET to receive 15% OFF your order!
I’ve been a fan of these ruffled zipper t-strap sandals by Report Signature ever since I first saw them being uploaded on Heels.com a few months ago. They are just delicious, a perfect mix of edgy meets femimine chic. While they are not THAT expensive at $189.99, there’s still a lot of things you can do or buy with $190. Paying your mortgage for instance, buy food or save them for your kid’s college fund. You know, all that boring grown-up stuff.

Real vs. Steal – Alexander McQueen “Faithful” Peep-toe Ankle Boots

I wonder if – one fine day – I will be the happy owner of a pair of Alexander McQueen heels. I would LOVE to, but thinking that his shoes go for more than 1k per pair, I somehow doubt this is ever going to happen. Not with that kind of budget at least. Anyone out there bothering to tell me the secret of getting rich quick? My shoe addiction refuses to wait any longer to be satisfied.

Steve Madden “SERYNA” Peep-toe Ankle Boots
I love and hate Steve Madden. Hate because his collection is mostly based on other people’s creativity and LOVE because it makes being fashionable on a budget SO much easier without having to compromise the designer look of a shoe.
These Alexander McQueen knockoffs are almost identical, the only thing that’s different is that the zipper isn’t a skull shape, but everything else could pass as the original. The ankle boots are currently on pre-order and will be ready to ship in approx. 4 weeks. However I wouldn’t wait too long to order as this style is probably one of the first to sell out.

Real vs. Steal – Alexander Wang Hanne Ankle Boots
While Alexander Wang’s Fall 2009 collection didn’t impress me much in terms of clothes I must admit I am quite fond of these buckled pointy ankle boots which were also a part of this collection. The other shoe styles were a bit too masculine for me, but the “Hanne” boot had just the right amount of edginess and badass punk. Sadly, they are also quite pricey at more than $1.200 a pair.

Real vs. Steal – Yves Saint Laurent Imperiale Platform Pumps
Yves Saint Laurent will be always one of my favorite high fashion labels. They belong to fashion much like the Eiffel Towel belongs to Paris. Where would be without this everlasting French house of delicate fashion? In 100 years from now on most designers which are being hyped right now will be long forgotten, but I’m sure YSL will be considered iconic for its cultural and aesthetic influence in our era. And rightfully so. Evidence A: see below.

Real vs. Steal – Miu Miu Rivet Sandals
Do you guys remember when Sex and the City the movie came out and everyone went gaga (including myself) for Carrie’s Dior gladiator sandals? Those heels were amazing. I love that look of a pump with studs or embellishment; they’re like jewels for your feet. These Miu Miu Rivet sandals are equally as awe-inspiring. I’m such a fan of the deep chestnut color and the brushed silver studs. They are currently on sale right now for $320 (retail price: $795), but even that is still out of my budget. So we began the search for a cheaper version.

Vince Camuto “Mabel” Sandals
Look at these sandals. Now scroll back up to the Miu Mius. Aside from the color and maybe a *slightly* lower heel, can you see any discrepancies? I can’t. Vince Camuto has created an amazing knock-off of the Miu Mius. They have almost every detail down perfectly – including the stud swirls! At about half the SALE price of the originals, I say these are a must have. Also available in black.

AmiClubWear Peep Toe Stud Heels
Now if you’re looking for a super affordable version of the Miu Miu Rivet sandals, why not try these heels by AmiClubWear? At $25.99 they’re lacking some of the pretty, delicate details that the original pair have but they’re still very cute and that 5 inch heel will make your legs look miles long. If you’re checking out these shoes on the retailer’s site, make sure to click on the thumbnail where we see the model’s legs. The other pics show a slightly distorted image. These are also available in black, cream and grey but act quickly as only limited sizes are left.

New Look Studded Cut Out Platforms
UK retailer, New Look, has offered up a slightly more streamlined pair of platform pumps. The studs are there but they left out the swirly patterns. Still, it’s pretty clear where they pulled their inspiration from – the silhouette is virtually identical to the Miu Mius. The price, however, is not. These will only set you back about $34 or £25. Available both in the black, pictured here, and cream.
