At the moment, I have an obsession with anything animal print and these Daffodil Calf Hair Leopard Platforms by Christian Louboutin fulfill my wildest shoe dreams. They are very versatile and can be worn with anything, as celebs pair them with red carpet ensembles to casual evening looks. The bad news is they are already sold out aside from costing over $1000, but the good news is, if you like this wild style, we have found a very worthy steal.

Real vs. Steal – Jimmy Choo Vamp Platform Sandals

by Velicia Hill on February 13, 2012

UPDATE: This post has been updated on February 13, 2012. Scroll down to see the new add.

What is it about pink platforms in the wintertime that makes me smile? Aahhh, the perfect cure for the winter blues (well… besides a good hot toddy)! And Jimmy Choo‘s “Vamp” is making me feel all warm and tingly. But what’s scaring me is the shocking price tag – $750, really? OK, that won’t be happening this winter or the next; which is why the steal below will be just fine.

Nine West “Krysten” Sandals

UPDATE (02/13/2012): Although the heel of this Nine West shoe is not as elegant as on the real deal, it still very much mimics the Jimmy Choo design, doesn’t it?

Dune “Gwnyeth D” Strappy Sandals

It’s cold outside, but I’m dreaming of sand dunes. Well, actually I’m daydreaming about “Gwnyeth D” by Dune. So cute, so pink & so affordable! But if you aren’t trying to emulate Barbie by wearing pink heels, then you’re in luck. You can get this heel in black, plum and teal satin as well as black/taupe glitter. Hot toddy anyone?

These amazing platforms are from Charles Anastase‘s S/S 2009 show but I guess I’m a little behind the curve because I only just discovered them. While I can’t imagine anyone actually wearing them (how did the models not break their necks strutting down the runway?) I do find them aesthetically pleasing. If only that heel was just a little shorter and I think we would have ourselves a winner.

UPDATE (02/12/2012): I never considered See by Chloé to be a brand that would copy someone else’s work, but the inspiration behind these platform sandals is quite obvious, isn’t it? Available in blush and black.

Jessica Simpson “Dany” Platform Sandals

I was SO happy to find these Jessica Simpson “Dany” platform sandals. They are everything the originals are but in a much more digestible form. A slightly lower heel makes them more wearable and a $98 price tag means you don’t have to think twice about bringing these bad-boys home.

I am a huge fan of Jennifer Aniston‘s style. She delicately walks the edges of trends while always maintaining a classic style that I’m pretty sure we’ll never look back on, thinking “God, WHAT was she wearing?” Last summer Jen started rocking a pair of Stuart Weitzman espadrilles that had me drooling. Clearly I wasn’t the only fan though; the Alex Espadrille Wedges flew off the shelves and were forever more impossible to find. They’re back now and available on several e-retailer sites and I would probably kill to own a pair. Seriously, I recommend you not being around me right now. Sadly these are just out of my price range.

I think it has become clear why celebs absolutely adore the essential trench, and after all who can blame them? As a vital wardrobe must, this trench coat by Burberry is the ultimate classical statement with a contemporary twist. The silhouette is very flattering, framing the body and accentuating (and concealing) all the right places. Featuring leather piping, this adds a modern flair and truly brings a swanky feel to this highly coveted item. Though the price tag is quite steep, the steal below speaks for itself!

As trench coat season is soon approaching, this one would definitely serve as a great transition piece plus make a staple in your closet. Also, if you’re against wearing leather, this may be a great alternative to the Burberry trench as it highlights a similar style without the leather piping.
