Ahhh, this one’s an oldie but goodie. Christian Louboutin‘s Very Privé studded pumps were all the rage among celebs back when I started this blog (can you believe it’s been almost 3 years already?). I really wanted to do a Real vs. Steal-feature on this shoe style but just couldn’t find a suitable alternative at that time. Fast-forward to 2011 and a decent yet budget-friendly Loubie look-a-like has finally popped up…

Twisted Kam-12 Studded Peep-toe Pumps
… No red sole, the platform is significantly lower and the studs aren’t quite as spikey, but for a $40 shoe this pump by Twisted comes pretty close to the Louboutin original. What do you think? Hit or miss?

Kim Kardashian likes to stand out. And if she does so by flaunting fabulous outfits like the one shown below, well, I don’t mind. How gorgeous is her lemon Birkin bag anyway? And the pink cardigan? Love the combo and the fact that she kept everything pretty basic with a white tee, jeans and neutral shoes. Check out our budget version of Kim’s look below and let us know what you think.

Colorblocking is like the thing to do this summer. I’ve written about it time and time again, constantly referring to Gucci’s S/S 2011 collection, but I’ve never actually gotten around to show a few colorblocking examples from the shoe department. So here you go. This is colorblocking à la Christian Louboutin. These tricolored slingback pumps are a fun way to spruce up a monochrome outfit and a safe way to colorblock on a small scale. Too bad I don’t have the funds to go all out on a pair of Loubies… right now.

There is something really sexy about wearing a criss cross sandal, and who wouldn’t love the Casadei 6822 Criss Cross Sandal? I really love it in the black so that way you can really see the design of the shoe. But, honestly, I’m not going to spend €580 which is approx. $834… I’m 100% sure that we can come up with a much better deal here!

Fergie “Sanibel” Backzip Sandals
I actually really like this steal by Fergie! Why? Because I love how the straps give you the illusion that they wrap all around the platform. Plus I love the texture in the straps as well! And the best part is these sandals are only $76.97!

Although this summery shopping look is fairly simple I am absolutely smitten with how effortless yet stylish it looks on Ciara. The singer paired a comfy black maxi dress with minimal jewelry, mirrored flat sandals by Giuseppe Zanotti, black aviator sunnies and beautiful soft waves. Check out our budget-friendly take on Ciara’s relaxed summer look below. I’m so in love with the idea of a black jersey maxi dress I’m contemplating buying the dress alternative by ASOS for myself. Any thoughts?
