Question: Is it blasphemy to think a Bebe sandal looks better than the shoe it was inspired by? Because if loving the Bebe “Iris” architectural sandal more than YSL is wrong, I don’t want to be right. Although Iris is not a t-strap, she does have that architectural heel, and blessings be, the price is also well under two bills. From the moment I spotted this shoe it has been haunting me. I waitlisted myself for it, got my notification, and they are currently en route to me. If they look half as good in real life, you’ll be seeing them again in a photo…on my feet. Where would be without this everlasting French house of delicate fashion? In 100 years from now on most designers which are being hyped right now will be long forgotten, but I’m sure YSL will be considered iconic for its cultural and aesthetic influence in our era. Celebrity Look 4 Less – Victoria Beckham in Victoria Beckham Fall 2009

I know she’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I just love Victoria Beckham‘s style. Yes, she is painfully thin and yes, she wears painfully tall, often incomprehensible heels, but I think she always looks chic. Same holds true for her clothing line. Many celebrity clothing lines crash and burn, but hers has seemingly taken off nicely with no turbulence in sight. While out and about in NYC last September, Mrs. Beckham wore a delightfully retro sheath dress from her own line. Love that she paired it with a skinny black belt, the always enviable Hermés Birkin and the lustworthy YSL Tribtoo Pumps. Personally, I would have worn black pumps like the model, but all in all it’s a fantastic look.

Yves Saint Laurent‘s iconic Tribtoo (or Trib Two?) pumps have been on the market for about 3 years now and even though 3 years equal a million seasons in fashion industry time they still happen to be the most flaunted heels on the red carpet. Celebrities just can’t get enough of them. The platform pumps have been re-released in each and every color under the sun by now. My favorite is the new red patent version. Are these borderline tacky hooker shoes? Definitely, but that’s exactly the point where heads start turning. For the faint of heart these are not.

Bebe‘s ode to the YSL Tribtoos is called “Liza” and I’ve been a fan of these YSL inspired platforms ever since I first wrote about them in black about a year ago. They’re probably my favorite knockoffs EVER! The red version is delicate though it has a few differences like the wooden heel and the fact that it does not come in patent leather. But the exaggerated, unique shape that makes the Tribtoos stand out is identical! Be fast to stock up on this color, these heels will be sold out soon.

I don’t know how they do it, but Yves Saint Laurent makes some of the most iconic shoes I’ve ever seen. Especially their “Tribute” collection is a hit among celebrities, fashion connoisseurs and normal people like you and me.

I’ve loved the Tribute platform sandals from the first moment I saw them, but never got the chance to go for the real deal or ~~snap up one of the various knockoffs~~ back then when they were considered the “It” shoe of the year. My favorite Tribute sandal was a purple version with gold trimming, but the black patent version is of course way more wearable.

OMG! I have waited SO long for a YSL Trib Two Bootie knockoff to come along and now it’s finally here! Major knockoff find! I literally squealed with excitement when I saw the knockoffs.

Below you see the original YSL Trib Two booties in brown croc leather. I adored these booties just as much as their sister shoe – the YSL Trib Two pumps. Yes, they look a slightly stripperish, but the exquisite YSL craftsmanship prevents them from looking cheap.

As always the price tag was what kept me away from taking the plunge. So I had to let them pass, but I never forgot how much I loved these booties.

As much as I think Heidi Montag is a desperate attention whore, I give credit where credit is due. Heidi has a great taste in shoes and she totally owned these YSL Trib Two booties when she strut the red carpet wearing a casual tank and shorts ensemble.

Bebe is unbelievably exact and spot on when doing YSL knockoffs. They first had the amazing YSL Trib Two pump knockoffs which sold out in like a day and now they come up with these super hot booties. I’m in love! They look almost identical compared to the real YSL booties, don’t you agree? Not quite a steal at $189, but probably the best YSL Trib Two bootie knockoffs you’ll ever come across.
