I have previously written about these platform wedges by Cynthia Vincent because a few months ago people were frequently mailing requests and kept asking where they could buy the cute gladiator wedges as famously flaunted by Vanessa Hudgens. These shoes sold out like hot cakes the first time round, but are now available again, so if you’re already thinking about enhancing your spring/summer wardrobe, this is your chance to grab a pair of these kickass heels everyone is gonna envy you for.

Express Multi-Buckle Wedge Sandals
UPDATE (03/14/2011): After more than one year I found another great Luella alternative by Express. Just in time for spring and available in either cognac as shown below or ivory.

Jessica Simpson “Adreana” Wedges
UPDATE (12/29/2009): Jessica Simpson’s “Adreana” wedges are now available in a beautiful tan version at Zappos and Endless which comes pretty close to Vanessa’s version (see picture below).
When I saw these platform wedges by Jessica Simpson they instantly reminded me of the Cynthia Vincent wedges. They miss 2 buckles on the lower straps, but everything else looks almost identical. Available in tan (pictured), fudge or black.

Don’t you think Ashley Tisdale looks so much better as a brunette? Well, at least I do. It looks so much more natural on her. Another positive change I’ve observed about Ashley’s style is that she’s slowly getting away from her Louis Vuitton monogram bags, Juicy Couture sweatpants and the pink baseball caps and slowly starts to develop a style that doesn’t scream trashy and/or label whore. Case in point: her laid-back yet still chic ensemble which she wore while shopping with a fan at the JCPenney Back To School Shopping Spree Event a few days ago. Way to go, Ashley!

Just a few days ago, I wrote that cutouts and peek-a-boo details in fashion are on the rise—and lo and behold, another cutout bootie has surfaced. Think this pair by Cynthia Vincent is nice? Check out the lower-priced (and even more gorgeous) version we found below.

Pelle Moda “Tammi” Cutout Booties
OK, a confession. I love these Pelle Moda booties not only because the price point is reasonable and they are super hot, but because I actually own them in black. And since I’ve test driven them in real life, I can tell you that they look equally good with leggings, a mini dress and tights, or rolled-up boyfriend jeans. Aside from buttery soft suede and good proportions, what makes this pair look so fantastic on is that they are cut very close to the ankle—so if you have skinny ankles and have had difficulty finding booties without excessive gaping at the ankle, this pair is for you.

OK, so sometimes I kind of become obsessed with certain celebrity fashion items – mostly shoes. This summer it’s the uber gorgeous gladiator wedges first seen on Vanessa Hudgens by Cynthia Vincent. And I wasn’t the only one who fell in love with those summer heels as they sold out like really, really fast despite the hefty price tag of over $400.

I spent the last weeks trying to track the wedges down as they’ve been requested a lot, but every online shop seemed to have run out of these. Except for one little secret boutique which I stumbled upon yesterday. There is one downside however. You can only pre-order the wedges and they won’t be shipped until the end of November. BUT – if you really like these sandals, you better order now before they sell out again. You most probably regret it sooner or later (happened to me several times
).
FYI: They sell the tobacco/cognac version only with a brown heel
, but their nude version (not pictured) looks almost like Vanessa’s heels to me (maybe one shade lighter), so you can choose which version you prefer.
