The eco-conscious Stella McCartney has designed yet another great Chamois Falabella bag made from 100% Polyester, and still exceptionally fabulous. You can carry this roomy shoulder bag to work along with your laptop bag and it will still look great when you meet up with friends or a hot date afterwards. It will even transition nicely into the weekend. And who doesn’t love the hardware detail? That little bit of edge gives off the perfect amount of playfulness on an otherwise classic shape. The original does have a pretty high price tag considering the materials used, but the construction is flawless. Loving the look but can’t afford the real thing quite yet? Urban Expressions is another fantastic vegan handbag brand that carries lots of well-priced styles that look just like high-end designer originals. I would wear this particular bag with a modern silhouette to enhance its urban feel, keeping my outfit tailored and accessories minimal. Some faux-leather leggings and a tunic or some wide-leg jeans and a fitted knit top would work perfectly; especially since the detailed chain embellishment will draw in all the attention you need! I’m a big fan of Stella McCartney! Very much like with Prada and Miu Miu I might not approve of EVERYTHING that is shown on the runways, but when I find myself liking something from these designers chances are high I really, really LOVE it. Case in point: Stella’s “Maia” cork wedge from last year. Despite the remote resemblance of Birkenstock shoes I am still highly attracted to this wedge. Also, how genius is the pink lining? It’s small details like these that can turn a good shoe into a truly great one. What’s not so great about it? Oh yeah, I forgot… the steep price of $735. Also the fact that it’s sold out.

Thanks to BCBGeneration, we can now rock our own Stella McCartney wedges for a fraction of the price. Their “Crespo” wedge sandal is an almost identical copy of the “Maia” even though I wish it had the same hot pink lining as the original. But at $71.99 I am not one to complain. So who would’ve thought polka dots could be that sexy? Apparently, Stella McCartney did, that’s why she gave us plenty of beautiful fitted dresses with sheer polka dot sleeves for Fall 2011. I love the risqué character of the sheer inlays combined with the playfulness of the polka dots. How friggin’ hot does Kate Winslet look in that dress? But whoah, more than $2k for that bit of dress? Sorry hun, I’m afraid that ain’t quite my price league.

Stella McCartney obviously was inspired by citrus fruits for her S/S 2011 collection because several of the pieces from the collection had this distinctive lemons/oranges/lime print. I admit it kind of reminded me of my Grandma’s kitchen curtains at first, but with the right accessories (waist belt & wooden bangles!) and attitude (I-so-don’t-care-what-you-think-of-my-outfit!) I think this dress could be rocked & rocked well. However, I don’t quite see myself shelling out more than $800 for such a difficult dress; plus, let’s just say the shape of this dress is… improvable.

So this summer dress by Limited Edition might not be a dupe for the Stella McCartney dress because it has a different shape and a slightly different fruit print, but the inspiration behind this dress is clearly visible I think. And shhhht, but in this case I prefer the steal dress because a) it’s so much more affordable and b) because the shape is much more flattering to a woman’s body. We all love Stella McCartney‘s use of bold colors and non-animal anything. Therefore, who wouldn’t love her Viola Hokkaido T-Strap Satin Sandals? I’m not sure if she’s been influenced by Japan since the name of the Japanese city “Hokkaido” is in the title of the sandal, but nonetheless, it’s a truly eye-catching heel! I love how Natalie Portman is rocking the sandal with purple-on-purple. And this shoe would look amazing with a black dress or a classic suit! I’m just not the biggest fan of Naomi Watts baggy outfit? Tell me what you think! Anyway, if you’re looking for a steal, below you’ll find a great alternative!

It might be just me who thinks so, but for some reason I find that talent makes a celebrity that much more stylish. It might be the confidence growing out of the talent that shines through, but if I see gorgeously talented persons like Natalie Portman, Cate Blanchett, Julianne Moore on the red carpet I’m most likely to love what they are wearing because they just own whatever they’re wearing. Just like Natalie Portman did when she attended the 2nd Annual Governors Awards in LA last month. The brunette actress wore a lovely fuchsia draped Lanvin dress and matching magenta t-strap platforms by Stella McCartney.
