Rock & Republic

Oh. My. Lord. Every once in a while I am so captivated by a hot shoe that I am nearly rendered speechless. Nearly. The Nika Pumps by Rock & Republic are just such a pair. Those pewter colored studs and that gleaming, dangerous looking heel…I tell you, R&R has done everything right with this pair. They are stunning. No wonder why they’re gone.

If you’re having a Déjà vu moment with these Rock & Republic heels, it might be because last year around the same time I featured R&R’s “Lotus” pumps which are almost identical to the “Lorettas” only those had a visible platform. Fast forward 1 year later and you have a new luscious nude/black version with a hidden platform. I looooove the corset-like detailing in the back; so sexy! The price tag leaves room for improvement though. $295 heels just aren’t in my budget right now. What a bummer!

Hello hotcakes! Man, these Rock & Republic Romy Chain Strappy Sandals are sssssmokin’ hot, are they not? There is nothing I love better than black leather, a lethal heel, and straps and chains all over the place. If mama were a shoe, this one might be me.

Not Rated “Big Sin” Chain Sandals

If you haven’t noticed, Lanvin put chain-ankle heels on the map this year. So I’m not surprised to see Rock & Republic’s totally rock-n-roll take on this trend. Now you can join the chain gang for a measly $59—and while the price tag hardly registers, it doesn’t mean this shoe won’t. Oh no. There’s a reason why Not Rated named this pair “Big Sin.” All I have to say about that is at least your conscience will be clear when you open your monthly credit card statement. Available in black and purple.

You got the memo, didn’t you? What memo, you ask? The wedge memo, silly. The one about wedges being totally it this summer. And hallelujah for that. This is a trend that might actually give all us poor, virtually hobbled fashionistas a little bit of a break in the no-pain-no-gain shoe department. The beauty of the wedge is its wearability in spite of its height. Which makes a pair like the Liana from Rock & Republic all the more appealing.

N.Y.L.A. “Dina” Stud Wedges

OK, so you want a wedge. And as lovely as Liana is, we all know you’re here because you don’t want the higher-priced version, you want more for less! Honey, don’t we all. There’s not a Liana doppelganger out there at the moment, but we did find the studded, riveted “Dina” by N.Y.L.A.. And $109.95 isn’t cheap, but it’s better than $350 for a shoe you know is relegated to weekend outfits.

I know you’ll hate me for showing you these heels by Rock & Republic because they’re rather on the pricey side, but not unattainable thus worth at least considering. I’m sorry for that. This blog is usually not meant to empty your wallet, but these kickass pumps have stolen my heart and I MUST share my love with you.

Let’s start with the statement-making version of these… the yellow one – OH MY GAWD! Can you imagine how incredibly sexy & hot these would look with a pair of dark washed skinny jeans and a simple black tank? Your backside would be talk of the town! And if yellow isn’t your speed and you rather prefer subtle sexiness with your shoes, I recommend considering the all-black version which is more muted but equally gorgeous in its own jet-black way. Put these on and you’re sex on heels. Alright, now get on with your hate mail, I can handle it. ;-)
