Real vs. Steal – Prada Minimal Baroque Butterfly-frame Sunglasses

There’s something quite striking about Prada‘s Minimal Baroque sunglass collection. And while my favorite would have to be the swirl arm sunglasses, these butterfly-framed ones that slightly mimic a cat eye shape are just as lovely. Sadly, my budget doesn’t allow for a pair of $290 designer shades. Also, I’m a ridiculously clumsy person who has a bad habit of sitting on, losing or breaking her (sun)glasses.

While accidentally sitting on a pair of $10 sunnies might be annoying as well, it sure isn’t quite as heartbreaking as accidentally destroying a designer pair that has cost you 30x the price. That’s why most of my sunglass purchases range between $10 to $50. These designer inspired sunglasses are almost identical compared to real Pradas at $10 (sale price!) are very easy on your wallet. I’m especially crushing on the tortoise version. So beautiful!

I’ve been really loving Prada shoes as of late. Their footwear range for Spring and Fall 2009 was truly exceptional and just when I was starting to understand the appeal of Prada I was beyond disappointed to see lucite shoes return from fashion hell onto Prada’s Spring 2010 runway. Damn you, Miuccia Prada! I’m on a fashion rollercoaster with your fashion house. I do appreciate these studded t-strap sandals however also known as Ashley Olsen‘s studded obsession.

Well, the season for open footwear such as these turquoise suede Prada sandals is pretty much over, but I couldn’t help but show these to you because I really love these little darlings.
