Lately, because of the meteoric rise of Mad Men and Christina Hendricks, ’60s fashion has been pushed heavily for fall 2010. But really, if I had to choose a bygone era that easily translates for now, I’d have to go with the ’70s. ’70s style was all flares and flowing fabrics, natural hair, and platforms—and and it didn’t just look comfy—it was. That’s probably why Claudia Schiffer’s ’70s-style ensemble looks so chic now. Layers and textures add interest, but it’s a simple, easy-to-emulate look. For virtually everybody.
