Back in July ITC reader Thao emailed us and asked whether we could find her an alternative for a pair of lustworthy Michael Kors buckled sandals:

I just found these Michael Kors runway buckle gladiators this morning. They are so great but there is no way I can afford these. So I hope you could help me the look alike for less. Thank you so much!

KORS Michael Kors “Bixby” Suede High Heel Sandals

UPDATE (12/15/2010): Seems like Michael Kors decided to knock himself off by creating an almost identical copy of his Michael Kors runway heels fors his lower-priced line KORS Michael Kors which cost $1.000 less. Available in various colors such as cork, flint, black and brown. ♥

While these Dollhouse booties are no perfect knockoff, I still think that the similarities between the two are uncanny. Be fast to order because these are selling fast.

Mmmmmm, what a fab little dress to wear when you want to look sexy for the summer time! I love the way Anna Faris wore the dress with some strappy platforms. And Jessica Simpson looks great in the Michael Kors dress as well. I just wish her headlights weren’t blazing and I’d be okay with the look. So, priced at $1295 and sold out we have another alternative!

Topshop Stripe Pencil Skirt

Okay, so maybe its not the full look, but the best part about the Michael Kors dress is the length! And this Topshop skirt can be so cute if you match it correctly with a fitted tank! Definitely a sexy summer look and priced at only $66 you can get the same nautical look without spending over a grand!

I have been in love with these Leather and Perspex Sandals by Michael Kors (RRP: $689) ever since I spotted them. Truth be told, I have quite a love affair going with several pairs in his lower-priced lines, MICHAEL and KORS. Unfortunately, this pair isn’t in any of the lower-priced collections, and there isn’t $689 in my pocket for them either. Boo.

Paris Hilton “Addiction” Platform Sandals

I can’t believe I’m writing this, but the “Addiction” Platform Sandals by Paris Hilton run a close second to the Kors pair. The platform is definitely a diversion from the original look, but somehow, this pair works. I hate myself for writing that, I really do. Available in black and pewter.

Blake Lively is always one to make a statement. Often it’s by accentuating her mile-high legs or shocking us with belly button reaching necklines. Here she covers up more than normal, but still gets the attention in a simple dress in a beautiful and bold hot pink. The great thing about shocking pink is that it looks great on almost everyone – blondes, brunettes, redheads, fair, medium and dark skin. So whoever you are, your wardrobe just might benefit from this post!

I think we can all agree, whether you like her or not, that Angelina Jolie is one of the sexiest women on the planet. Because she wears a lot of streamlined silhouettes and a lot of black, however, she manages to almost always look both current and classic. Now that she’s a mom she seems to gravitate towards longer, more covered dresses but not so for her hubby Brad’s premiere of Inglourious Basterds. This Michael Kors dress has a classic cut but the leather gives it the perfect “Angelina” edge. It also has pockets, which automatically wins it points in my book. Fortunately the look is simple enough that it can be easily duped.

Mango Strapless Leather Look Dress

This Mango dress is missing some of the sweet details of the original but the basic look is there. The strapless neckline and of course the (faux) leather make this dress sexy but the suggestiveness is offset by the knee-length hemline, just like in the Michael Kors original. There’s no seam-definition at the waist but the material clearly hugs your curves in all the right places. For well under $100, this dress deserves a go.

Sele Strapless Faux-Leather Dress

Now this version by Sele is probably least like the original, but it’s also my favorite. The matte faux leather might lack the “specialness” that the original has but the hint of a sweetheart neckline adds interest to the top half of the dress. I’m also a fan of the subtle darts, vertical seams and defined waist. All in all this is a well-tailored, pretty dress, and at less than $100 (again?! Man, we’re good) why not give it a whirl?
