A Marchesa lady is always belle of the ball… or in modern day, the red carpet. Sometimes it seems that there aren’t enough real-life appropriate occasions to wear one of their beautiful, feminine creations. If you find yourself in the ultimate black-tie situation, then a little Marchesa will most certainly get the job done – really well.

Kardashians by bebe Asymmetric Feather Dress
UPDATE (12/16/2010): Even though Bebe has made this dress all black it still won’t fool me into thinking this is an original design. The Marchesa inspiration is still very obvious to see through.

Last year at the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards Eva Longoria stunned on the red carpet in a gorgeous fringed mini dress by Marchesa. You gotta love Marchesa’s attention to detail: just look at the intricately bead-embroidered bow! I adore this dress, but am not anywhere near at being able to afford a $6.000 dress.

Marchesa Ombré Fringed Dress
Well, I might not have a knockoff of this dress at hand, but the awesome guys at theOutnet.com managed to get this dress at the most amazing price. Believe it or not, but they are selling it for 75% OFF! Now I am well aware that even the highly discounted price is by standard means still very pricey, but I just had to feature this amazing deal (and more Marchesa deals will follow shortly…) for all those fashionistas with bigger shopping budgets (you lucky gals!) who love a great deal and are looking for an extravagant little something to wear to special occasion (a wedding maybe?).

This one’s an oldie but goodie. Back in February 2008 Carrie Underwood attended the Clive Davis’ annual Pre-Grammy Party looking adorable in a monochrome tiered strapless chiffon dress by Marchesa. The black bodice had a cute black bow attached and Carrie perfectly accessorized her glamourous ensemble with matching bling and black satin YSL sandals.

ABS by Allen Schwartz Bow-Front Tiered Dress
When I saw this prom-like dress by Allen Schwartz I was instantly reminded of Carrie’s red carpet look above. While Carrie’s frock goes in the thousands you can have this Marchesa inspired look-a-like for just under $400 (or around $200 if you order at Bloomie’s). If you have a formal event to attend, this dress would certainly make you stand out.
