Kate Spade

Gucci‘s Soho bag pictured below is a chic and classic crossbody and as far as branding goes rather subtle with its embossed iconic GG logo emblem, at least for being Gucci after all. But if you’d ask whether I think these stitched on double GGs are worth the multiple hundred dollar markup that puts this bag near 4 digit price territory? Not really. And while I’ve declared my love for Valentino many times over, especially when it’s something from their famed “Rockstud” collection, I am not a millionaire and have quite a few monthly bills to pay, so there’s no way I could possibly justify spending almost 2k on one bag. Luckily though you can get the best of both worlds, Gucci and Valentino, for (much, much) less – on sale even! – by opting for Kate Spade‘s fabulous Tinley bag which looks like a very pretty mashup of Gucci’s Soho and Valentino’s Rockstud Rolling crossbody. Tinley originally retailed for $278, but is now on sale for $181 which would save you $669 on the Gucci bag and $1.564 on the Valentino one. A total of $2.414 saved if you decide to go for the look for less version instead of buying the two designer bags.

Real vs. Steal – Céline Knot Open Bracelet

by Irina on September 18, 2017

Update: This post has been updated on September 18, 2017. Scroll down to see the new add.

It’s been a while since we last featured a jewelry piece by Céline on this blog, so here you go: Céline’s knot bracelet which is available in various colors and sizes has made quite the round in the fashion blogosphere lately. The design strongly reminds me of Tiffany’s Love Knot Bangle with the biggest difference being that Céline’s version is left open in the back. I’m not sure what the retail price is for this bracelet, but pre-owned pieces start at approximately $400 which I think is quite the hefty price for a gold-plated brass bangle.

Budget Look – Welcoming Spring in Pastel Pink

by Irina on February 28, 2017

Spring is officially around the corner and I can’t wait to ditch all of my winter clothes and finally pull out airy dresses and open-toed sandals from their winter hiatus. But since Spring isn’t in full bloom yet, we can’t probably do without a warm coat or jacket, but we can definitely welcome the new season by lightening up our wardrobe with pastel colors for example which is what I tried to do in this week’s budget look edition. Let me know if you like it!

Two more weeks until Valentine’s Day and while I’m not particularly excited about V-Day itself (all the single ladies!), I do like any opportunity that allows me to dress up and act all flirty about it. When dressing up, my personal motto is: “Drama, drama, drama!”, that’s why this black off-the-shoulder midi dress by Bardot with its body-con silhouette and the dramatic bell sleeves instantly caught my attention. I immediately started styling this LBD in my head and style-wise it felt like my mind ran in 100 different directions. There are a lot of ways to style this versatile dress and I decided to pick three for you to show: bold, romantic and just plain cute. So if you need some outfit inspiration for your own Valentine’s Day attire, feel free to check out my V-Day look suggestions and let me know whether you like them or not.

I’m one of those people who-when traveling through airports-will always wear heels (you never know if Mr. Right is flying the friendly skies as well). I can’t always do a 5 inch towering platform though; that’s why this leopard wedge by Mr. Christian Louboutin is perfect for such occasions! Some style and height to go along with a comfy and simple yet sexy outfit. My travel companion? A stiff drink and pretzels instead of peanuts, please. No thank you, Miss, I’d wear my “Peanuts”, not eat them. 😉

Kate Spade New York “Amory” Round Toe Wedge Pumps

Update (05/15/2016): Just spotted another Christian Louboutin Peanut alternative! This calf hair animal print wedge by Kate Spade is surely not a steal at $350, but it is still $495 (!) cheaper than the real deal, so I had to add them to the list.

Talbots “Porsha” Leopard Haircalf Wedges

Update (08/27/2015): Didn’t really expect to find another Louboutin Peanut dupe after such a long time, but doesn’t “Porsha” by Talbots look strangely familiar to you?

Ivanka Trump Linear3 Leopard Wedge Pumps

The designers at Ivanka Trump have virtually copied the Loubutin “Peanut” down to its shell! I must admit I do like the leopard print better on this one and I’m completely nutty about the $150 price tag.
