A few days ago Gossip Girl actress Blake Lively helped making cupcakes for a good cause at Sprinkles in NYC. The blonde beauty looked stylish and festive in a cream sheer button-down blouse which she paired with a stunning gold Gucci leather skirt from the Resort 2012 collection. I’m not sure where she was headed with the dark green Brian Atwood Maniac pumps, but since I’m really loving Blake’s upper ensemble I’m willing to overlook her shoe choice faux-pas. The Gucci Huston Mary Jane Plaform Suede Pumps are a fusion of the classic Mary Jane silhouette with a 1970s take, significant both to modern elegance and the disco fashion. The soaring heel draws attention as it contradicts with the mellowness and sweetness of a Mary Jane styled shoe. As these pumps come in several hues, I have to say that every color is uniquely presented bringing a sense of disco-like glamour to the table. I admire the the plum purple hue with the deep gold piping as it is sophisticated yet retro-chic. These pumps are essentially iconic and representative of 1970s trends which are resurfacing into the modern fashion world.

Lately, I’ve been craving a pair of cat eye sunglasses like crazy and I was very specific about how they should look like. I wanted them in brown tortoise with oversized brown degradé lenses and the cat eye form shouldn’t be too distinct. So after checking out the latest sunglass fashion offerings I’ve decided that this pair of Gucci sunnies was the most perfect pair of sunglasses I have ever seen! Perfect in every way except for the price. $220? Can’t justify spending that much on accessories. Sorry, Gucci!

I’m really enjoying the look of this sleek Gucci Bamboo leather tote! Love the bamboo handle and of course the classic Gucci tassels. I also love that the bag comes with an extra strap just in case you get tired carrying it around your arm. Yet, the price tag is a little steep for me. If you’re willing to pay the $4.200 by all means go ahead! You’ll definitely receive compliments. But, if you want a steal we have one for you!
