There’s something really fun about this household heather grey sweatshirt by Elizabeth and James gone glam. Yes, I realize it’s essentially a sweatshirt but look at it! I love it with a pair of fitted jeans, however I wouldn’t necessarily pair it with your old chucks that have been rotting in the back of your closet. Pair it with a nice pair of black pumps to bring out more of a glam look rather than a slouchy “I haven’t had my first cup of coffee“-look that Dakota Fanning is sporting. So, if $312 is a bit steep for you we have another great solution!

EXPRESS Sequin Raglan Sweatshirt
UPDATE (11/16/2011): Reader Aya kindly informed us about yet another fantastic E&J alternative available at EXPRESS. Bonus? They’re currently doing a “Buy 1 Top, Get 1 Top 50% OFF”-promo. Yay for that!

Theme Sequin Sweater
UPDATE (11/14/2011): Ten months after posting the first steal, I’ve came across another great E&J sequin sweater look-a-like by Theme. Although significantly darker than the original I think it’s still a great alternative and a lot cheaper, too!

Ella Moss “Majesty” Sequin Sweatshirt Top
I think the Ella Moss version for less than $100 fits the bill! It’s almost exactly the same look besides a little bit of difference in sleeve length and it comes in grey or black. I would have to say this Ella Moss sequined sweatshirt is superb in following the look and not hurting our wallets.

Well one thing’s for sure, this boot definitely has moxy! [disclaimer] – To me it’s ugly yet cute at the same time. The color is a mossy, blah green/gray and the outside thick laces have a Frankenstein look to it. But hey, just like the definition of moxy (having guts) Elizabeth and James chose the appropriate name for their boot (foresight maybe?). And who am I to judge? This expensive E-Moxy lil’ sucker at $395 is sold out! But if you like the general shape of this boot, the steal below is actually cuter – check it out.

H By Halston “Kate” Platform Booties
Is it just me or do you like the H By Halston “Kate” bootie better? OMG, the color… the color puts me in a lighter mood already! It so reminds me of the changing fall colors outside right now. And speaking of lighter, this bootie won’t weigh so heavy on your shoe budget this month either – only $99.99. Now that’s what I call pretty.

So you hate looking like one of the crowd. For avant garde shoes, clothing, and accessories, look no further than Elizabeth and James — the quirky, lower-end line launched by wondertwins Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen. The Cal Wedges below are a great example of the type of shoe you can expect from this label: functional, but kind of like a wearable piece of abstract art.

Miss Me Oasis-7 Wedge Sandals
UPDATE (02/06/2011): Just happened to stumble upon this almost identical E&J look-a-like by Miss Me. Available in pewter, bronze & silver.

Rosegold “Shawna” Wedge Booties
Yes, I did write “lower-end” when I referred to the $354 Elizabeth and James wedges above, and technically they are; the Olsens have another line, The Row, which has significantly higher price points. So how lucky are we that Rosegold has its own even lower-end version of the Cal: “Shawna” Wedge Booties. They’re are a great investment for Spring 2010, because they incorporate two trends from the shows in one statement-making sandal: neutrals like beige and drab olive, and the arty wedge. Available in beige and black.

Vanessa Hudgens recently turned 22 and decided to celebrate her birthday at the PURE nightclub in Las Vegas. The young starlet walked the red carpet in a simple yet striking outfit consisting of a strapless silver dress by Pleasure Doing Business (which totally looks like a Hervé Léger rip-off, but costs only a 1/4 of the original) which she paired with failproof black patent YSL platform pumps and statement rings by Elizabeth and James and Low Luv x Erin Wasson. I wish Vanessa had something done with her hair as it looks too messy for such a glam outfit, but otherwise it’s a sexy evening look for a twentysomething.
