Every girl should own a go-to evening shoe, aside from the usual day-to-day staple. Coinciding with that thought, every girl should own a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes, or I can only hope to own a pair someday. With the extreme price of these Balota 120 Glitter-Finish Multi-Strap Sandals, I don’t think I will be calling them mine any time soon, and they’re already sold out. They cost $60 only which makes them 2/3 cheaper than the above mentioned knockoff and you’ll save more than $700 compared to the real Louboutin pumps. It’s not a perfect match and the platform is even more watered down than on the first pair, but overall they are still a great option if you are lusting for the Louboutin look 4 less.

The “Pigalle Plato” Platform Pumps are no different as the design is impeccably exhibited with versatility, in an uptown or downtown manner. The platform adds further height to the elevated stature of the shoe contributing to the elegance. A simple summertime wedge is sometimes all a girl needs to be happy. Now what’s shocking is that this simple wedge is by Christian Louboutin – the Liberace of shoemakers! No crazy 7 inch wedge. No crazy accouterments. Just a nice pinkish/mauve patent leather shoe. If only one could “simply” find $595 to pay for this much simplicity. But oh well, how do the French say – c’est la vie!

This is a definite statement shoe, and both the strappy-ness and many colors are contributing elements of the extravagant and bold appearance. Though I love Christian Louboutin and his creative design, the price tag is simply way out of my budget. Jessica Simpson is one of the many celebrity designers which I have grew to praise mainly because I really do admire her shoe collection, and in addition I am fond of the Louboutin inspiration behind the design of the “Evangela” Criss Cross Sandals. Though it is arguable that her personal creativity is lackluster, I truly don’t mind as she brings the Louboutin feel minus the Louboutin price.

I wonder how Christian (yes, in my mind, him & I are on first name basis ) must feel, knowing that a lot of the shoes on the market are direct unabashed, unapologetic copies of his designs? And this bi-color heel is no exception. I’m gonna guess he isn’t feeling too bad because even if you could afford the $695 for this adorable (perfect for the office) ankle-strap, it’s sold out. But don’t fret; as I mentioned above, this heel too was knocked off.

I expected more from a celebrity endorsed line (that’s why I love Jessica Simpson’s line). BUT, if you could care less about the lack of originality, then this is a great imitation for you. I’ll just keep my (unsolicited) opinions to myself… this time.

To be honest, when I first saw these Christian Louboutin Panier Espadrille Wedge Sandals I wasn’t overly thrilled. The design truly didn’t appeal to me as much as other lavish Louboutins usually do. But, looking at them actually being worn I had a complete change of mind. I really like the femininity that they add to an outfit not to mention that they can be pretty much worn with anything. I love Cameron Diaz’s outfit; she really displays the beauty of these wedges and most definitely gives them enormous amount of justice, but unfortunately it’s not the same story with the price tag. Wild Diva Jacoba-01 Espadrille Wedges
