Leopard print is HUGE this season. I know you’ve probably heard that left and right already, but can I just say that one more time, please? Because it really is huuuuuge. Don’t believe me? Look at any given fall/winter collection lookbook, fashion mag/blog or window display. Animal print, more precisely leopard and cheetah print are taking over our closets in 2010. Summer was already full of it and fall is approaching just as strong with leopard print shoes, accessories, dresses & coats everywhere. Charlotte Olympia‘s Alice low-cut leopard lace-up booties are a perfect example why I am totally digging this trend. The print stands out yet the shoe is classic and elegant. No tackiness or any reminiscence of cheap perfume, spray tan and teased hair. That’s exactly how I love me my leopard print: wild but classy.

Pour La Victoire “Blake” Booties

I know our steal versions are usually more spot-on and less of the inspired by-kind, but even though these ankle boots by Pour La Victoire are cheetah print and lack the black heel or the lace-up detail, I still think they’re a great alternative to the Charlotte Olympia booties as they have the same look and feel. Sure, they aren’t an impulse buy at $289.95, but if you consider how you can jazz up even the most boring outfit with these darlings the cost-per-wear might well be worth it if you dare to wear this trend.

I know I’d have the hardest time walking in those sky-high stiletto platforms by Charlotte Olympia, but everything in me screams WANT! WANT! WANT! The mega platform pumps with the sculptured gold stiletto are some serious killer statement heels! So gorgeous, I can’t bring myself to stop staring. Sigh!

Emma Watson Loves Charlotte Olympia

The lovely Emma Watson looked absolutely stunning in a sheer organza dress by Christopher Kane when she visited the Late Show with David Letterman last month. Emma paired her dress with a pair of to-die-for Charlotte Olympia “Cindy Masako” platform heels which are very similar to the pumps shown above. Absolute perfection!

Bebe Veronica Platform Pump

Bebe was obviously inspired by Charlotte Olympia’s stunning statement heels as they’ve come up with their own version called “Veronica”. Bebe’s knockoff heels aren’t satin but leather and the heel is silver instead of gold, but the shape and the overall look & feel scream CHARLOTTE OLYMPIA! They retail for $149 and come also in black suede with a leopard printed platform. If you want an other color than black, Bebe has the same platforms in pewter/silver ($149).
