As cage-style shoes gracefully make their exit from our must-haves, these shoes by Cesare Paciotti update the look and earn their place on our up-to-date feet. The ankle detailing is less cage and more web. They’re sexy (very sexy), stylish and who needs jewelry with a statement piece like these?

Paris Hilton “Trix” Sandals
UPDATE (06/23/2010): Paris Hilton‘s design team comes up with a near-copy of the Cesare Paciotti. Her “Trix” sandals only lack the little crystal stones. Otherwise they’re practically identical. Available in pewter, black or gold.

Kelsi Dagger “Brandi” Embellished Sandals
Kelsi Dagger gives you the opportunity to wrap your ankles in all the prettiness (yes, even something described as a web can be stunning!) without all the payout. At only $112 they get the job done and leave some extra for a new dress.

When I think of raffia, I think of the straw-like ribbon all those Martha Stewart wannabes keep in their arsenal of wrapping supplies. Never would I think raffia and sexy in the same sentence. Until I witnessed the hotness of these Cesare Paciotti Raffia Back Zip Sandals. If we have to talk raffia, then Cesare Paciotti is speaking my language. You can wrap me up in these sandals any day.

Boutique 9 “Joanna” High Heel Sandals
While a dead ringer of the CP sandals have yet to surface, the “Joanna” High Heel Sandal by Boutique 9 is still a worthy substitute. And for summer, this lovely wheat-colored, woven sandal is probably even more versatile and appropriate. I can totally see it paired with khaki cargo short-shorts that give a nod to this summer’s utilitarian trend. Stylish, light, and under $100? Sold.

I am what you might call “shoe loyal” and I’m happy to say that it generally pays off. I have been smitten with the “sandal bootie” for over a year now and have stuck by that style despite various shrieks of disgust by friends, family and fashionistas alike. But a-ha, they always come around and now that everyone’s all about the “sandal bootie”, I can smugly say I was a fan from the beginning. We featured these Cesare Paciotti “613310″ sandal booties on Zoe Saldana shortly and I think a lot of us were big fans. They basically make any outfit a little more badass. Even the blush tone feels rocker-ish; but I love how the ruffle trim gives them a lady-like touch. We’re not sure how much these sandal booties will run you but we’re pretty sure it’s a pretty penny (maybe we should amend that to say a pretty Benjamin Franklin?).

Bebe Mara Ankle Cinch Sandals
Bebe‘s really been leading the knockoff pack lately, haven’t they? Their “Mara Ankle Cinch Sandals” may not be an exact copy of the Cesare Paciotti shoes but they’re pretty darn lovely nevertheless. Bebe used a paper-bag style trim instead of a ruffle but I think you’ll agree that once on the effect is virtually the same. The nude is undoubtedly sweet but I am loving the black. Pair with a black dress (either mini or knee-length, as seen above) and strut your stuff out into the night.

Zoe Saldana is such a beautiful woman, isn’t she? She’s got a spectacular face but also an amazing body that is perfect for showing off lovely clothes – and she chooses well (that Oscar dress!). We also love the look she put together for “The Losers” premiere in L.A. just a few days ago. The strong-shouldered Balmain dress is the perfect statement piece and she showed great restraint in choosing her accessories – a simple clutch, belt and ring made that fabulous dress the focal point – along with a pair of badass Cesare Paciotti heels.

Zoe Saldana’s Look 4 Less
We love Zoe’s look, but wanted to find something more affordable (duh!) and also a little more real-world (or “real-girl” as Vahni eloquently put it in one of her posts) friendly. The Balmain dress is amazing, but, seeing as how I’m not a Hollywood starlet, where on earth am I going to wear a frock with such a plunging neckline? Never mind the price. I’m in love with this ASOS Body Con dress. The general feel is the same (strong shoulders, figure-hugging style), but it’s a lot more wearable than the Balmain. The Steve Madden “LANGLY” platforms are spot-on (see below for a 30% OFF coupon code) and the accessories we chose are perfect and CHEAP. All in all this entire look will run you well under $200. Now that’s a steal.
