Burberry Prorsum

Have you done all your boot shopping yet for this winter? If you haven’t why not consider these classic cognac boots by Burberry? Oh yeah, of course, how could I forget about the price tag?! Sorry, my bad…

Vince Camuto “Fivvy” Buckled Boots

Shhhh, don’t tell anyone, but I think I prefer these Burberry inspired buckle boots by Vince Camuto over the original. Sure, $116.95 isn’t a cheap thrill either, but a good boot is so worth it. Available in whiskey or black.

In case you’re willing to lay down quite a bit of money, but not quite $800, how about these very similar boots by Cole Haan?

There are only very few things that are quite as timeless and long-lasting as a tailor-cut wool coat. When it comes to making beautiful, classic outerwear such as coats and jackets Burberry Prorsum is undoubtedly the top dog. Yes, a real Burberry is pricey, but considering you’ll keep that coat for 10-20 years without it ever going out of style the cost-per-wear becomes staggeringly affordable.

Karen Millen Military Great Coat

UPDATE (10/21/2010): Although this military coat by Karen Millen is a rather costly alternative, it’s still only 1/5 of the originals’ price.

ASOS Belted Midi Military Jacket

If you can’t afford the real thing, but still want the Burberry look & feel, this military jacket by ASOS is a dead ringer for the Burberry coat. Belt included. Gotta love ASOS for bringing us Burberry on a budget.

Have we talked enough about Burberry Prorsum‘s Fall 2010 collection yet? Well, I haven’t, so I guess you either roll with it or skip reading this blog until next spring. Why you wonder? Because this collection has set the biggest trends for every fast-fashion chain and there’s no way you won’t come across Burberry inspired fashion this fall and winter. All the fur-trimmed jackets, shoes, handbags, anything really… it all comes down to Burberry. The aviator theme and the army green military coats? It all started with Burberry.

Free People Woolie Knit Bomber

Not everyone can honor trendsetter Burberry by spending a fortune on a seasonal jacket. But fear not because Free People has come up with a pretty decent Burberry alternative for less than 1/10 of the original’s price. Their bomber jacket might be a lot more tamed in design and it also lacks a few of the delicate details that make the original stand out so much, but the Burberry influences are still more than obvious here, don’t you agree?

This fall is going to be all about Burberry. Seriously. The Fall/Winter 2010 Burberry Prorsum collection was so good, it’s going to be legendary. And these Burberry Prorsum Leather Ankle Boots are likely to reach cult status right along with it. For tough-girl chic, is there anything better? A combat boot with a heel? Yeah, that’s how I’d kit out my battalion of butt-kickin’, boot-stompin’ badass babes.

If there’s one thing we’re going to see a lot of this fall, it’s going to be sheepskin-lined leather jackets as presented by Christopher Bailey for Burberry Prorsum‘s Fall 2010 collection. We’ve already seen first previews of this trend in H&M’s and Topshop’s Fall lookbooks, but UK fast fashion chain New Look is the first to launch these kind of jackets in the heat of July. I ♥ this one and at £40 (approx. $62) it’s unbelievably light on the wallet. Did I mention their US shipping rates are quite budget-friendly, too? Go figure.
