If there’s one thing we’re going to see a lot of this fall, it’s going to be sheepskin-lined leather jackets as presented by Christopher Bailey for Burberry Prorsum‘s Fall 2010 collection. We’ve already seen first previews of this trend in H&M’s and Topshop’s Fall lookbooks, but UK fast fashion chain New Look is the first to launch these kind of jackets in the heat of July. I ♥ this one and at £40 (approx. $62) it’s unbelievably light on the wallet. Did I mention their US shipping rates are quite budget-friendly, too? Go figure.

H&M released a first preview for their Fall 2010 collection recently and while flicking through the images I instantly had two déjà-vu moments. What caught my eye first was a beautiful apricot-colored cape coat closely followed by a huge cozy-looking, wool-trimmed grey winter coat.
After having 2 years of Real vs. Steal expertise under my belt, I’ve become quite the pro at recognizing designer-inspired stuff. Of course it wasn’t too hard to see the inspiration behind H&M’s latest collection as Christopher Bailey garnered quite a big media following after presenting his phenomenal Burberry Prorsum Fall 2010 collection. And Hannah MacGibbon’s Fall 2009 collection was considered to be Chloé’s big comeback to the high fashion world, so it is just as iconical.

I’m amazed at how quick H&M managed to pick up on the Burberry shearling-trim trend and I hope they’ll have a steal alternative for the uber-gorgeous aviator jackets as well. Also quite tempted by the Chloé look-a-like though I’m not sure how such a BIG blanket coat would look on me. Anyway, this collection preview has definitely put H&M back on my radar; I’m stoked to try all these fab pieces. What do you think about the H&M collection?
More looks from the collection after the jump… My other favorites are look #3, #6 and #8.

A trench coat is one of those items of clothing that every woman should have in her closet. Various permutations appear on the fashion scene each season and it just never seems to go out of style. I think Burberry Prorsum put out one of the best trenches of the season in their Spring 2010 show. The coat is undeniably sweet with those draped/knotted shoulders and girly color (they call it “Frosted Pink”), but the black lacquered buttons keep it a little bit edgy. Sadly, at $2,595, I think we can safely say I’ll never own this coat.

Lipsy Ruched Shoulder Mac
I have to tell you, I’m sort-of OK with not owning the Burberry trench above if it means that I can nab this Lipsy knock-off which is available at ASOS. Literally thousands of dollars cheaper but with that same lovely charm, this coat is sure to win you tons of compliments. Lipsy really nailed those knotted shoulders and I think I may actually like their pinkish/peach color just a smidge more than Burberry’s cupcake-pink. I picture this being worn with a fluttery, chiffon mini skirt and black leather rocker heels.

These Burberry studded ankle strap pumps used to retail for $650, but are now on sale for $384.90 in limited sizes. Studs are hot for fall, so if you haven’t got your studded pair of footwear yet, you might consider buying these. If you have that kind of budget, of course.

Urban Vibe Pyramid Stud Heels
These Burberry knockoffs by Urban Vibe which you can buy at Wet Seal are almost a 1:1 copy, but the best thing is the price. They are currently on sale for $10 (down from $24.50). Isn’t that an amazing deal? And most sizes are still available, so head over there and get them before they’re gone.
Click on the link below and navigate to the shoe section or enter style number “41023907” in the search field to find the knockoffs on the website.

After hitting the digital shelves of NET-A-PORTER
a few months back for a price of 500 €, these Burberry Prorsum ruched platform pumps went like hot cakes and now are completely sold out.

Miranda Kerr vs. Kate Bosworth – Burberry Prorsum Ruched Platform Pumps
Miranda Kerr and Kate Bosworth apparently share not only the same taste in men (Orlando Bloom), but also in footwear (Burberry Prorsum). Both women donned these ruched platform peep-toes being completely decked out in Burberry.

Miranda was the first to wear these eggplant-hued heels to the GQ Man of the Year Awards 2008 in September 2008.
Kate rocked the same heels in a gold feathered Fall 2008 ensemble when she attended Fashion Group International’s 25th Annual Night of Stars one month later in October.
Seems like Miranda and Kate weren’t the only ones falling for the ruched Burberry platforms. Socialite and Reality-TV star Kim Kardashian also got her hands on the heels. She dressed them up with a one-shouldered fuchsia dress and kept it casual with leggings and oversized sunglasses.
