Badgley Mischka

Update: This post has been updated on January 5, 2012. Scroll down to see the new add.

In the past few seasons, nude colored shoes have greatly grown in popularity, if not considered a necessity in everyone’s closet. These Giuseppe Zanotti Bejeweled Suede Ankle Strap Sandals sport hardware embellishments such as studs displaying an avant-garde flair while the blush tone balances the overall look. I truly idolize Giuseppe Zanotti because each season is constantly evolving and each shoe has its own individual appeal. But the fact that the price is unknown implies that it is obviously beyond expensive and in addition these sandals are already sold out.

UPDATE (01/05/2012): Came across another high-class Zanotti look-a-like coming from Badgley Mischka. Available in peach, black, watermelon and white.

Dolce Vita “Kitz” Sandals

Whenever I am looking for an innovative or designer-inspired shoe, Dolce Vita is my essential go to brand. These “Kitz” sandals are a spot on example of what Dolce Vita stands for, not to mention that these sandals look almost exactly like the ones by Giuseppe Zanotti. I love the chunky heel and the crystals embedded among the back. These are available in blush or black suede.

“Badgley Mischka, Badgley Mischka,” (insert echo sound for effect). Oh how I love to say Badgley Mischka over and over again. It just sounds so rich! OK, back to my task at hand-writing about these adorable blush satin pumps with pearl detailing by (wait for it)… Badgley Mischka! These should totally be accompanying all you winter blushing brides (11/11/11 anyone?) down the aisle to your beloved! But whenever the big day happens, for just $200, you get to say your shoes are by (I’m sorry cannot help myself), Badgley Mischka. OMG, tell me that doesn’t sound aristocratic and expensive? Now, if you could only afford a wedding gown by this designer duo.

But if you’re a bride on a tight budget and $200 is budgeted for ice sculptures or if you’re more the traditional bride and prefer your bridal heels white or ivory, then may I suggest you place your rsvp for these remarkable clones to the aforementioned heels (I could have said it but didn’t). Evening shoe line, RSVP has done a great job in capturing the same details as the Badgley Mischka’s (last time, promise). Something borrowed, something blue, some heels on a budget for you! Available in ivory, black, navy & grey satin.

Occasionally I’ll take a look in my shoe closet (only occasionally, it’s a scary place) and realize that while I have a lot of trendy shoes, I lack some fundamental classics. I’ve been out of high-school for 11 years (moving right along) but funnily enough this morning I woke up thinking about proms and what I would wear today if given the opportunity. Well I haven’t figured out the dress part just yet, but I think these Badgley Mischka Harrow Slingback Satin Sandals would do quite nicely on my feet. A classic, simple yet beautiful shoe with a high heel but not too high that you can’t dance in them. Perfection if you ask me. Now at $169 (on sale now for $132) these are on the lower end of the price scale (considering we feature many pairs that retail for upwards of $500), but for all our high-schoolers that’s probably still a little steep.

rsvp “Ellie” Satin Sandals

OK, let’s be honest here. Even if you CAN afford the Badgley Mischkas, why would you even consider them when these rsvp “Ellie” sandals look virtually identical? The heel looks maybe a smidge lower but otherwise it is the same shoe, at less than half the price. Even more good news? They also come in navy, dark silver, ivory and white satin, which means there’s a pair to match any dress you might have. I’m thinking the white satin would make a fierce bridal pump too!
