At the 2007 CMA Awards, Nicole Kidman arrived on the red carpet looking absolutely amazing in a strapless ombré dress from Alexander McQueen’s Spring 2008 collection which degraded from a vibrant fuchsia to a deep purple and had floral details and butterflies going allover the dress.

Forever 21 Summer Night Maxi Dress
This maxi dress by Forever 21 might not be strapless and have a black upper bodice, but you can tell it’s from the inspired-by kind. A great alternative if you want Alexander McQueen 4 less and the perfect dress for spring.

What I love about Alexander McQueen is that he’s not only great in designing clothes, but he also happens to make some of the most beautiful shoes. OK, I might be addicted to McQueen and therefore am a little biased. These black patent ankle strap peep-toes however are simply adorable. The price not so much.

Soiree Peep-Toe Ankle-Strap Pumps
Living on a budget? Try these almost identical peep-toe ankle strap pumps by Soiree. The heel might be just half as high, but this makes the shoe more comfortable to walk in. The bar is also a bit different in material and color, but hey, they only cost a fraction of the original McQueens.

So we’re back at Alexander McQueen again. I told I am big fan of his designs, so here we’ll go again with another gorgeous pair of footwear he created.
These square toe pumps were pretty hot on the red carpet about 6 months ago. They retailed for $595 at NET-A-PORTER
, but are now completely sold out.

L.A.M.B. Primrose Square Toe Pumps
Not being the cheapest alternative ($252.12 sale price), but certainly a very good one is this square toe pump by Gwen Stefani’s brand L.A.M.B. called “Primrose” which comes in either black or plum satin. The heel is slightly different and the “Primrose” pumps have a metal embellishment on each vamp, but otherwise they are quite the same.

Office Shoes Point and Square Pumps
This is by far my favorite “interpretation” of Alexander McQueen‘s square toe pumps. I love the faux snakeskin pattern and the extreme high heel. These Office pumps seem to be overall well manufactured and clean in design. They are a bit expensive with £70 (~ $100), but I am sure they’ll be a great investment. The pumps also come in red and black patent and pewter.

Aldo Shoes “Saric” Square Toe Pumps
Another great alternative if you want Alexander McQueen 4 Less are these “Saric” square toe pumps by Aldo. They retail for $90 and were available in black satin like the Alexander McQueen ones, but apparently sold out and now the only colors left are black and red patent and black leather.

Steven By Steve Madden Sedona Square Toe Pumps
Of course Steve Madden couldn’t pass upon the chance to create his own version of the square toe pump which is called “Sedona“. His square toe pump comes in black patent with a faux fakeskin pattern, but the style is otherwise pretty similar.
