Don’t tell anyone, but I’m a Kim Kardashian style stalker. It’s one of my (few) guilty pleasures. For some reason I have this weird fascination with whatever Kim K. wears; I need to identify it, recreate it or simply gush about it. Yup, you can call me strange. I guess Monica Rose, Kim’s stylist, does a very good job because I know I’m not the only one digging Kim’s newly evolved style.

Drew Barrymore‘s outfit choices are as unpredictable as is her personality. And while she’s probably not the first who’d come to mind when thinking of a style icon, this outfit here I L.O.V.E. The actress made an appearance on Letterman to promote her newest film “Going The Distance“. Drew looked absolutely amazing in a bronze sequin top by Richard Chai with navy high-waisted Camilla and Marc pants and grey suede Yves Saint Laurent Trib Too pumps. I love how relaxed and glamourous she looks at the same time.

I jumped on the skinny cargo movement a couple months back, so you know I just adore Leighton Meester in this utilitarian look. I didn’t think skinny cargos could be flattering, but the more I see them on, the more I am proved wrong. Leighton’s look may be neutral, but it’s anything but boring. And the best part is it is so easy to recreate, as you can see below.

Runways are styled for pictures, people are styled for living. So, understandably, it sometimes takes a little tweaking to get one to live in the other’s world. This is a perfect example. Alexander Wang has proven that a little leopard goes with everything, but in our case the shorter and more structured jacket will create a look worthy of a few thumbed up Facebook photos.

I remember falling in love with this Bill Blass ruffle blouse sometime last year. The soft silk, the flattering color and the perfectly shaped ruffles were simply to die for! Most things on my wish list are either shoes or dresses, but this blouse made me swoon and shooted straight up on no. 1. A few days ago actress Blake Lively has been spotted running errands on the Gossip Girl set in what I would describe as a perfect casual summer ensemble. I’m often asked what celebrity’s style is most like mine. It’s difficult to answer because I pride myself on having my own unique style, but over time I spent a lot of time thinking about it (probably too much to admit) and always give the same answer: Olivia Palermo meets Vanessa Hudgens. So, when I saw this photo of Olivia looking garden party chic at a recent event I laughed. Why? Because her exact shoes are a purchase I made a few weeks ago. I guess 1/2 of my style response has been pretty on target – next time we see a photo of Vanessa Hudgens, I’ll test out the other half. Until then, I’m happy to see that Olivia’s feminine and sophisticated ensemble is easily attainable.

I have absolutely no reason to complain about not having enough new stuff since I just received my Dorothy Perkinsg(16806872)a(1610226))
order today (4 pairs of shoes; 50% OFF sale + 15% discount code? I’m in!). While I’m quite satisfied with what I got for the little money I paid, in the end you can still see that these were budget buys. Oh how I wish I could lay down $300 for a top and not having to worry about going broke over a $500 dress. Too bad money is such a critical point in the whole shopping process. But while I’m not able to put all the pricey goodies into my cart and check out with a $2000 bill, it helps slightly to at least stuff them on my wish list hoping some anonymous admirer will find his way to this list and graciously send me one or two things from there. Yup, I’m quite a dreamer if you couldn’t guess by now.
