Tops

Ladies and gentlemen, please brace yourself for some serious lingerie hotness courtesy of Gooseberry Intimates. My personal favorite from their collection is the “Honey Bee” bodysuit which costs $139, comes in either black or ivory and is constructed with unlined and underwired cups and crafted with a generous amount of fine tulle mesh and spliced with delicate floral lace. As you can see from the picture below, this sexy piece of lingerie doesn’t necessarily have to be contained in the bedroom area only as has been beautifully demonstrated by celeb/social media hotties Khloe Kardashian and Emily Ratajkowski who both have paired the racy bodysuit with a high-waisted skinny jeans out in public. It’s definitely a very daring look to be sported outside the comfort of your own home, but that’s what nipple coversamazon were invented for, am I right? And while $139 is far from being an unreasonable price for such a lovely and well constructed piece of clothing, Gooseberry Intimates is located in Bali, so shipping it to the US or Europe wouldn’t be exactly hassle-free, especially when it comes to handling returns, delivery time and customs. Bummer!

Bardot Britney Lace & Mesh Bodysuit

Deal: Take $25 off every $100 you spend with promo code PRIVATE! Valid on regular priced items, exclusions may apply. Offer valid through November 12th, 2017.

Luckily, I was able to spot a very similar lace bodysuit by Bardot which looks almost just as delicate and lovely but costs only half the price of the Gooseberry version. I also like that the cups on this bodysuit are lined, so you don’t necessarily *HAVE* to opt for nipple covers if you decide to wear this sexy bodysuit out in public.

Romwe Crisscross Back Sheer Lace Bodysuit

Not quite as delicate or anywhere dupe-worthy, but these lacey bodysuits I found at Romwe would also be a suitable look for less alternative. Plus, they’re super cheap at $5.99 (sale price!), so if you’re unsure whether you’d like the lingerie-in-public look on yourself, you might want to go for these first before splurging on a pricier version. And if you’re not too fond of this particular lace bodysuit here, there are several more at Romwe which look similar.

Budget Look – Spring, Sporty Florals

by Irina on March 31, 2017

Finally! Spring has officially arrived and I’ve been loving all the sunshine, the blooming flora and the soothing mild temperatures lately! The new season not only lightened up my mood but also my wardrobe; I’m super into pastel colors these days and couldn’t care less for body-con clothes and uncomfortable high heels at the moment. That’s why for this month’s budget look edition, I’ve tried to combine all of my current Spring trend obsessions into one outfit: soft pastel colors, relaxed fits and feminine florals. Let me know if you like my delicate yet sporty Spring look.

Budget Look – Welcoming Spring in Pastel Pink

by Irina on February 28, 2017

Spring is officially around the corner and I can’t wait to ditch all of my winter clothes and finally pull out airy dresses and open-toed sandals from their winter hiatus. But since Spring isn’t in full bloom yet, we can’t probably do without a warm coat or jacket, but we can definitely welcome the new season by lightening up our wardrobe with pastel colors for example which is what I tried to do in this week’s budget look edition. Let me know if you like it!

We do see a whole lot of lace-up bodysuits or tops in stores nowadays, but back in 2015 Givenchy were among the first designers to rediscover this super sexy trend in their badass Fall/Winter collection 2015. Shortly after the collection debut, mega socialite Kim Kardashian wore the runway look head-to-toe, going braless in this deep plunging v-neck bodysuit and – if I might add – absolutely killing it while doing so! Sure, the outfit was risqué, revealing and overtly sexual, but Kim had the poise and attitude to pull it off. The lace-up bodysuit then continued to garner further fame and attraction as more celebrities and fashion insiders have been seen wearing this super sexy, bondage-inspired $2.600 Givenchy number. Yes, you read that right: this bodysuit costs $2.600!

Celebrities & Style Bloggers Love Givenchy

Celebs such as Miranda Kerr and Kim Kardashian as well as style blogger Negin Mirsalehi have been spotted wearing a Givenchy V-Seamed Lace-Up Bodysuit.

Nasty Gal Bad to the Bone Lace-Up Bodysuit

If you want to try the lace-up bodysuit trend without having to go bankrupt, I suggest you take a long good look at this Givenchy inspired number by Nasty Gal. It’s super close to the real deal, but costs a fraction of the designer price: $78 instead of $2.600! This one’s my personal dupe favorite!

Their ribbed lattice lace-up bodysuit has all the important key details of the Givenchy real deal without the neckline plunging down to the belly button aaaaaand it’s super budget-friendly, too, because it’s only $21.99! Major steal deal alert!

Bardot “Tavia” Lace-up Bodysuit

Another fab steal deal option is this lace-up bodysuit by Bardot. Like the Nasty Gal version, this one, too, is very similar to the pricey Givenchy bodysuit. It’s currently on sale for $51, but you have to hurry as it’s pretty much sold out everywhere.

Mary Seng from Happily Grey is one of my absolute favorite personal style bloggers at the moment. I love scrolling through her Instagram feed; she has such a great taste in clothes and I adore her sense of style which is modern yet feminine and elegant yet also bold and fearless. To me it feels like Mary isn’t afraid of playing with fashion and taking risks while at the same time still maintaining her unique style and genuineness. One of her recent looks particularly caught my attention; Mary wore a white oversized chunky knit sweater with a beautiful forest green wool skirt which she then paired with a timeless black quilted Chanel bag. I loved this outfit so much that I just had to recreate it on a more accessible level with budget-friendly options. Let me know what you think of my white and green blogger winter look for less.
