All I can think of is how much this minty sweater reminds me of the Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 color palette. I’m ready to pair this cozy knit from Acne with a great pair of white jeans or some fitted capris and espadrilles. The color goes surprisingly well with Spring neutrals like white, sand, and golden khaki, as well as some unexpected shades like sun-washed pink, lilac and coral. I can see it all coming together like a spontaneous weekend escape to the beach, but a quality knit like this could set you back a few hundred dollars unless you’re lucky enough to have a friend in the know. Well, you do! Can you guess what we found?

ASOS Aran Sweater In Pastel
Amazing, right? Leave it to ASOS to provide us with this lovely confection. This sweater is perfect for a stroll along a windy shore and if it’s too chilly to wear it solo, layer it under a cozy trench and add a pretty printed scarf. Either way, you’ll be sweeter than a box of conversation hearts. So, what are you waiting for? Get one for yourself and start packing for that romantic weekend!

Alright, let’s just get right down to it, shall we? Everybody needs a trench in their closet. Everyone. That means you. I wasn’t a believer until I started wearing one myself, but I am here to tell you that they go with everything. They look simple and chic over jeans and classic and sexy over dresses. They can be worn over sweaters in the cooler months and worn over tanks in the warmer months. They are versatile and timeless, sophisticated and demure. Need I say more? Of course, there are tons of trenches out there and like pizza, despite what some people say, not every slice (or trench) is made equal. This Burberry Double Breasted Trench is probably about as good as it gets. Exquisitely cut with just enough detailing, I’m going to out on a limb here and say this could be the trench to end all trenches. But excuse me while I wipe away a tear… this coat retails for over $1.000.

ASOS Double Breasted Mac
Folks, just so you know, we rushed to get this post up because we are that certain that this trench will sell out. Another thing you should probably be aware of, is that I actually placed my own order for this coat before sitting down to write this entry. Yes, I was scared you all would buy out all the stock. We’ve got the same great detailing, the slant pockets and great cut. This coat is also available in red, but I’m all about the stone color.

For the last few years I’ve been really feeling the attraction of cobalt blue. Not sure why, but I always feel magically attracted to anything that’s vibrant blue. And even though I’m mostly a dress girl, I couldn’t help but fall in love with this beautiful cobalt blue silk shirt by Ann Taylor. Just think of all the outfit choices you’d have with such a versatile yet statement-making shirt! You could pair it with classic black cigarette pants or breezy white flared linen pants to intensify the vibrant blue color. Capri pants, a pencil skirt or your favorite pair of jeans would go just as well with it. You could even consider wearing it bottomless if you feel particularly fashion forward/Lady GaGa-ish; I’m sure you’d still look A-class in it, though be warned, you might get some “Look at this pantless weirdo!“-stares from passersby. Anyway, did I mention I love this blue silk shirt? No really, I loooooove it.

I am completely smitten by Liv Tyler‘s Stella McCartney Polka Dot cocktail dress. It is so chic and you don’t need that much to accessorize it, just a sparkly pair of drop earrings, a cute clutch and some classic black pumps. This dress is sexy, but it also leaves a little bit to the imagination with its black sheer sleeves and flirty details around the waist. Can’t wait to wear the look to your next cocktail party? I’m always happy to see celebrities wearing accessible fashion, especially when they’re hitting the red carpet. Selena Gomez did just that by opting for a Balmain-ish ASOS black frock ($146.54) which she paired with a pair of steep Giuseppe Zanotti chiffon sandals ($850) at the GRAMMY Nominations Concert a few days ago. Well, you can’t expect a celeb going budget fashion head-to-toe I guess.
