Let’s talk about red. Red gets you noticed. It sucks up all the attention in a room, wanted or not, and pinpoints it all on the wearer. Dita von Teese knows that. I’m so glad the Hervé Léger overexposure has stopped. There was a time when I was just sick and tired of seeing all those bodycon bandage dresses on every red carpet. The HL revival wave started somewhen in 2007 and while my taste in fashion has changed a lot since then, I’m still smitten with the more classic designs from this fashion house.

Now this really puzzled me at first. Because normally bebe sexes up all of their knockoffs whereas here they rather toned this naturally very sexy dress down which I so prefer over the original. bebe’s dress is considerably longer and the cleavage looks a lot more demure, too. Good job on this one, bebe! A sexy yet classy LBD. And quite affordable if I might add.

I know we already had stripes in yesterday’s Obsession of the Day post, but I just couldn’t resist sharing this super cozy-looking zig-zag striped tank top by Ella Moss with you. I love the soft minty color and can totally imagine myself lounging in this tank all summer long. Which I also would considering the steep price of $87 (but remember, it’s all about the cost per wear, people!). Still, it’s a really lovely piece!

The colorblock tube dress below was one of my favorite pieces from Alexander Wang‘s Spring 2009 collection, but at one point the dress became so popular that I was sick of seeing it every second day on the red carpet. Now that the overexposure has stopped, my love returned, but unfortunately the dress has sold out since. Not that I could afford it were it still available.
