The first time I saw Jimmy Choo‘s “Keenan” caged sandal I knew it would be lusted after. And boy was I right. Flocks of celebrities have been wearing this style and it didn’t take long to get me my first “Keenan” Real vs. Steal requests. But at that time there just weren’t any good alternatives available and I had to put the requests on hold. That was until today when I happened to stumble upon…

Jessica Simpson “Cesarini” Caged Sandals
… a pair of caged sandals by Jessica Simpson which look like a 100% copy of the Jimmy Choos except that these here have small studs on the straps. The heels come in either black or silver. I’m so happy I can finally offer a decent steal version for the Choos. Some girls will be very, very happy today.

Hollywood’s PYTs (= Pretty Young Things) are looking really good lately. First we had Miley Cyrus donning French Chic with clogs and now we have a fabulous laid-back red carpet outfit of Vanessa Hudgens. The Disney star rocked a Madewell suede biker jacket with a white peasant top, her favorite Nudie skinny jeans, matching slingbacks by Joie and a knuckle ring by Made Her Think at the Premiere of Disney California Adventure Park’s “World of Color” in Anaheim last week. I’m also crushing on V’s loose fishtail braid.

These super shiny bootie sandals by Report Signature might be the cheapest real version we’ve EVER featured on InTheirCloset. Usually, it’s all about the $700 Jimmy Choos, $900 Louboutins or $1.500 Giuseppe Zanottis. Not this time though! The “Downey” sandals cost a reasonable $118.99, but due to the celebrity love they received and because of their awesomeness in general they sold out in a rush & were never to be seen again. There are a few non-patent sister styles floating around the net (see Endless
, REVOLVE
& ASOS
), but they don’t excite me as much as the super shiny original (check out the modeling video of the Downey below; sooo shiny!). I’m sure Vahni would approve.

Charles Albert “Barb” Peep-Toe Pumps
Since we can’t get our hands on the original, let’s do the second best thing and turn to Charles Albert for an almost perfect Downey knockoff! These “shooties” might be not quite as polished as the original and the heel might be a tad lower here, but for less than 30 bucks I so don’t care. The style is the same as is the shiny (faux) patent leather. What more could you expect? Did I mention they’re $30 ONLY? Go figure!

ALDO “Catanese” Open-toe Bootie Sandals
If you’re not so into the shiny patent leather, but do like the overall style, check out these Downey knockoffs by ALDO. Like the knockoff above these here are too almost identical but just have a buttery leather finish. They are currently on sale for $54.98 (RRP was $100) and you can pick them in either black or natural (they call it taupe, but it’s actually more of a nude color).

When the H&M Garden Collection debuted last week, and promptly flew off shelves, I had a feeling that a floral revolution was upon us. I, myself, have been lusting after a floral bustier for what feels like ages. Of course the onset of spring always brings with it a love of all things abloom, but this year feels especially flowery. Clearly our favorite starlets are just as besotted – and with the floral mini-skirt in particular. It feels fresh and young and pairs equally well with knee-high boots as it does with sky-high heels. I don’t always advocate jumping on the trend wagon but in this case all I can say is “welcome aboard”.

You had me at “Balenciaga.” Really. No need to add “Giant City Bag,” but since they did, oh…swoon. I’ve loved this species of Balenciaga bag for years, but the supersized, gold-studded version is to. Die. For. Except for the killer price tag, natch.

So I totally dig Balenciaga’s Giant City Bag, but I’m not about to fork over nearly $2K for it. Lucky for me (and you) there are several high-style, low-cost alternatives, starting with this version from Handbag Heaven. And need we remind you that there’s a little special going on at Handbag Heaven? Even better.

Baghaus Forever A Squared Handbag
Of the three Balenciaga Giant City Bag look-alikes we’ve featured, the Baghaus versions are my favorites. The Forever A Squared Handbag is synthetic, but the crinkly look makes it totally believable. If you’re anti-leather, it’s a wonderful (and chic) alternative.

Baghaus Tara Patrick Tote
Also a strong contender for best (almost) Giant City Bag is the Baghaus Tara Patrick Tote. It’s just like the Forever A Squared Handbag above, except that it is a couple inches larger and has silver hardware instead of gold. Both Tara Patrick and Forever A are also available in other colors.

Vanessa Hudgens makes casual chic look so effortless, doesn’t she? She’s just adorable, and she consistently manages to look comfy—without looking sloppy (unlike those famous twins who have elevated bag lady chic to an art form). While Vanessa likely has access to myriad designer labels and pieces, in her everyday life, she tends to keep it real. So real, in fact, that almost anyone can steal this look, as all the pieces are standard ready-to-wear, at glorious ready-to-wear prices.

When skinny jeans first debuted (or should I say most recently debuted) a few years back, I really, truly thought it was a trend that would come and go. And that neither I, nor anyone larger than a size four would partake. Well. Now I’m eating my words and then some. Skinnies arrived and they’re better now than in the 80s, because they’re not all high-waisted and acid washed, and because denim has come a long way, baby. It stretches, hugs, lifts, and is more comfortable than ever before. Which is why Vanessa Hudgens practically lives in her Nudie Jeans. And why not? They’re as versatile as leggings—without the need to cover your you-know-what.

I have previously written about these platform wedges by Cynthia Vincent because a few months ago people were frequently mailing requests and asked where they could buy the cute gladiator wedges as seen on Vanessa Hudgens. These shoes sold out like hot cakes the first time round, but are now available again, so if you’re already thinking about enhancing your spring/summer wardrobe, this is your chance to grab a pair of these kickass heels everyone is gonna be envious about.

Jessica Simpson “Adreana” Wedges
UPDATE (12/29/2009): Jessica Simpson’s “Adreana” wedges are now available in a beautiful tan version at Zappos and Endless which comes pretty close to Vanessa’s version (see picture below).
When I saw these platform wedges by Jessica Simpson they instantly reminded me of the Cynthia Vincent wedges. They miss 2 buckles on the lower straps, but everything else looks almost identical. Available in tan (pictured), fudge or black.

I am a shoe girl – always been, always will. I could spend an entire day browsing online shops for the perfect pair. Givenchy happens to make some really great shoes and I’ve always been a fan of their designs. If I had a few hundred dollars on hand, I would easily spend them on these absolutely gorgeous cut-out ankle boots.

Vanessa Hudgens Loves Givenchy
High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens has a pair of her own Givenchy booties and apparently likes them a lot. She first sported these with an LBD to the Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party in Septemer 2008 and then re-wore them with a casual outfit when she was shopping later in November.
I’m not fond of pairing the birdcage booties with a dress, but Vanessa certainly looked very chic in her shopping outfit. What do you think?

Bebe Vixen Caged Leather Boots
UPDATE (09/03/2009): Yay, another pair of Givenchy knockoffs by Bebe.
Bebe’s version definitely has its differences compared to the original Givenchys as Bebe’s is made of patent leather and has a platform, but I still prefer their knockoffs out of all I have seen yet. They are certainly not the cheapest option, but the quality of the shoes looks really good. These knockoffs have also been recently rocked by Lindsay Lohan. I wonder if she was aware they were designer-inspired?

OK, so sometimes I kind of become obsessed with certain celebrity fashion items – mostly shoes. This summer it’s the uber gorgeous gladiator wedges first seen on Vanessa Hudgens by Cynthia Vincent. And I wasn’t the only one who fell in love with those summer heels as they sold out like really, really fast despite the hefty price tag of over $400.

Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent Luella Wedges
I spent the last weeks trying to track the wedges down as they’ve been requested a lot, but every online shop seemed to have run out of these. Except for one little secret boutique which I stumbled upon yesterday. There is one downside however. You can only pre-order the wedges and they won’t be shipped until the end of November. BUT – if you really like these sandals, you better order now before they sell out again. You most probably regret it sooner or later (happened to me several times
).
FYI: They sell the tobacco/cognac version only with a brown heel
, but their nude version (not pictured) looks almost like Vanessa’s heels to me (maybe one shade lighter), so you can choose which version you prefer.
