Miley Cyrus is not the first name coming to my mind when thinking about a stylish person. That’s mostly because every other time I see pictures of her she’s either wearing a skimpy stage outfit or denim cutoffs with a tank top and cowboy boots and well, let’s just say that this isn’t exactly my idea of a stylish person. But I recently stumbled upon these candid shots of Miley out & about in Toluca Lake doing her best French Chic look and I’m somewhat smitten with it. The songstress wore a striped Elizabeth and James pocket tee, a pair JET skinny jeans and yup, you guessed it right, a pair of so-hot-right-now Jeffrey Campbell “Charli” clogs. Her best accessory though? The arm candy aka boyf Liam Hemsworth. Yummy!

I haven’t been aware of fashion designer Isabel Marant for quite a long time, but ever since I saw Sienna Miller donning an awesome pair of killer stud booties by the French designer, I knew this had to change. The clothes she designs are really great, but her shoes are where it’s really at for me. Case in point: the chain-wrapped slouchy suede boots from her Spring 2009 collection which have been lusted after by fashion connoisseurs around the world.

For some reason celebrities haven’t picked up on these kickass boots yet. Miley Cyrus, not particularly known for her impeccable style, has been the only who rocked these suede boots on stage.

Jeffrey Campbel “Third” Suede Chain Boots
Jeffrey Campbell might not deserve a creativity award for his work since most of his styles are based on some other designer’s shoes, but I have to give kudos to him for being a great trendspotter. He picks up on trends when most high street retailers still replicate stuff from last season. These chain boots are an almost identical copy of the original Isabel Marant boots. They are not the cheapest at $244.95, but since the originals cost about $1300, they are still a great budget-friendly alternative.

I’ve always admired these buckled Chloé biker boots from afar, but couldn’t help but wonder how normal women are supposed to pull off such mid-calf boots without looking stumpy. There’s no way I could rock these with bare legs as Mischa and Miley below, but I figured with black tights and a pair of black skinnies I could totally make these boots work for me. Too bad they cost $1.175.

ROSEGOLD Walt Mid Calf Moto Buckled Boots
These almost identical knockoffs by ROSEGOLD are far from being a steal at $325, but if you die to rock the Chloé biker boot style I thought you’d be happy to find such a close match which cost 75% less than the originals.

While Alexander Wang‘s Fall 2009 collection didn’t impress me much in terms of clothes I must admit I am quite fond of these buckled pointy ankle boots which were also a part of this collection. The other shoe styles were a bit too masculine for me, but the “Hanne” boot had just the right amount of edginess and badass punk. Sadly, they are also quite pricey at more than $1.200 a pair.

Jeffrey Campbell “Morrow” Buckle Booties
Jeffrey Campbell knows how to satisfy a fashionista’s craving for top notch style but without the designer price tag. His latest style incorporates an almost identical version of Alexander Wang’s Hanne booties mixed with a Camilla Skovgaard sole.

ALDO “Tilbury” Ankle Boots
If you are looking for a cheaper option, ALDO has a pair of boots which look heavily inspired by Alexander Wang’s Hanne booties. The buckles are silver and differently arranged, but the look and feel still screams ALEXANDER WANG!

Let’s be honest. When it comes to shoe shopping 9 out of 10 times when we freak out about a pair and start squealing “Oh my God! These are to-die-for!“, it’s about those gorgeous, embellished, satin peep-toe stilettos also known as the shoes we almost never wear because a) they’re too high b) not appropriate for everyday wear or c) just too precious to be worn (I mean, you don’t want to risk getting them scuffed, dusty or rained on, right?).
Don’t get me wrong: I LOVE my sky-high pink stiletto sandals with all my heart, but whenever I storm out the door I most probably am not wearing these. So, last year, I wanted to be reasonable for once and thus forced myself to get me some comfortable boots. Surprisingly, I went home with 2 beautiful pairs. Both were very similar to Frye‘s Veronica boots below and I just can’t tell you how much I love them. They’re extremely comfortable, keep me warm during winter AND look super stylish. One of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I get so much wear out of these.

Steve Madden “VERONNA” Buckle Boots
I discovered these Steve Madden boots via The Look 4 Less and thought they’d make a wonderful budget-friendly option if you can’t afford the real deal. The style is almost identical and even the name of the boots sounds similar to Frye’s. The boots are currently marked down to $99.95 (was $159.95) and they come in either black, brown or brown distressed.

These sandals by Sergio Rossi are certainly chic and all, but to be honest, I wouldn’t shell out $670 for them even if I had that kind of shopping budget. Would you? If for some reason however I would stumble upon a great inspired-by pair, then why not?

Nine West “Maxeeme” Sandals
If you’re like me and cringe at the thought of spending so much on a pair of shoes, Nine West has a great alternative. Their Sergio Rossi knockoffs are spot-on and the only noticeable difference is the heel which is straight on the Nine West sandals. They retail for budget-friendly $68.95 and also come in dark red & dark blue.

However, Zappos has only very limited stock on these, so you better be quick to order.
