We’ve featured quite a number of Christian Louboutin shoes here on InTheirCloset and I think that’s because, other than being extremely popular with our readers, they are also what I would classify as “classic”. Louboutin pumps range from demure to over the top but almost all of them feel timeless. CL’s “Claudia” ankle-strap sandals are no exception. They are simply a new take on a tried and true shoe. Look how beloved these are by hollywood starlets and Playboy bunnies alike. You’d probably have to be either or both to swing that price tag though.

Christian Louboutin always seems to get it right, even if we’re talking espadrilles rather than sky-high pumps. Espadrilles have really seen a revival in the last couple of years but to be honest it took me a while to warm up to them. What I love about these Almeria Espadrille Wedges, however, is that they are a throwback yet totally modern at the same time. Sexy but also casual in a lovely summer-picnic kind of way. Celebrities obviously agree, as evidenced by the photos below. Clearly they’re in their budget, but are they in yours?

Jessica Simpson “Heathery” Espadrilles
If the answer to that question posed above was “No” but you’re still loving the idea of a cute pair of espadrilles to help you prance your way into spring, consider these sandals by Jessica Simpson. Alexander Wang is arguably the master of rock grunge. His clothes are exquisitely designed but also have a downtown edge. So leave it to Wang to create a LBD that is equal parts East-Village and Red-Carpet. A nude under layer hints at skin without actually showing any and a sweetheart neckline adds…well, sweetness. I’ll tell you what isn’t sweet, though: that price tag. Oh, and did we mention it’s also sold out? Sit tight, though, we just might have something for you…

Topshop Bandage Ruch Bandeau Dress
Topshop‘s “Bandage Ruch Bandeau Dress” might not be a dead-ringer for the Alexander Wang dress above, but by golly it’s darn close. I might even argue that it’s better. I’m really enjoying the thicker bands of fabric that are strategically placed over the hip and bust area. Of course we still have that hint of a sweetheart neckline and the mini-length and at $90 ($90!) this really is a steal. I predict this one will sell out fast.

Megan Fox always looks sexy, whether she’s wearing a pair of jeans and a t-shirt or a dress with a slit up to “there”. For this post we will be addressing the latter. Fox wore a Cavalli stunner to the Transformers 2 premiere in Berlin. It was a beautiful maroon, draped gown and had lovely jeweled detailing at the waist. Paired with that high slit and those 5 inch nude pumps, Megan looked like a million bucks.

It’s not often that a “steal” version comes along that I think surpasses the original, but in this case it’s true. There’s no denying that the Roberto Cavalli dress is a stunner (especially on Ms. Fox), but what real woman is going to feel comfortable wearing a dress with a slit that high? It’s just not practical! ASOS has yet again come to the rescue. I’m really feeling their “Diamante Hoop Split Front Maxi Dress”. The real-world-friendly version of the dress comes in the most delectable, rich colors and the slit isn’t quite as high! Hooray! Best of all the dress is quite modestly priced at less than $80.

I don’t know about you guys but I have been enamored with the Chloé Paddington satchel ever since it emerged on the scene 5 years ago. I wasn’t the only one, though, this bag was an instantaneous hit. Along with some sister “It” bags (the Fendi Spy bag and the Marc Jacobs Stam, both of which we’ve covered here on InTheirCloset) the Paddington began to show up everywhere on the arms of fashionable celebrities. I think it was (and continues to be) so popular because of its perfect slouchy shape, roomy interior, and of course that to-die-for hardware. Sadly the Paddington has always been out of my price-range and, due to its popularity, there is really no hope of it ever going on sale.

Baghaus “Madeleine” Padlock Tote
Now granted I don’t have this bag in my hand right now, but just looking at the picture I can tell that Baghaus really knocked it out of the park with their “Madeleine” tote. How soft and slouchy does it look? The longer shoulder handle is missing but otherwise this bag looks pretty darn picture-perfect. Available in a multitude of colors (black, brown, beige, bronze, blue, white and pewter), this bag is guaranteed to get you tons of compliments. Personally, I’m loving the beige and brown.

However, isn’t the fuchsia a sight to behold? We love the vibrant color and ultra-flattering draping, and can’t imagine that anyone who wore this dress wouldn’t get a gazillion compliments on it. I am so obsessed with these merlot patent Christian Louboutin platform pumps. They are so gorgeous! I love everything about them – the shiny patent leather, the vibrant burgundy color, the mega high platform and the resulting height enhancement. PERFECTION!
