Gianni Bini “Spikey” Slingback Sandals
Yes, can you believe it? This pair by Gianni Bini has exactly the same level of edginess and comes in an assortment of colors. How gorgeous are they? And the price is great, too, so if you absolutely love them you can buy one in black and another in eye-popping teal! They will just look fantastic with your new denim sundress. For the finishing touch, pick up one more rocker-inspired accessory, like a studded clutch or necklace, and you’ll be all set to find your garage-band king.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably gimpsed one of this season’s hottest trends: the cage bootie. I’m not entirely sure where this fad originated but I’m going to guess that it might have been Yves Saint Laurent’s Cage Leather Sandal. A delicate, architectural beauty of a shoe, the YSL heels spurred quite a few copies. Christian Louboutin‘s Coussin Caged Ankle Boots are like the big, badass sister to the YSL sandals. To me, the CL booties look both industrial and hard; girly and sweet. They’re not going to be everyone’s cup of tea, to be sure, but they are certainly works of art; and pricey ones at that.

Boutique 9 “Val” Peep-toe Caged Booties
So if the YSL cage sandals and the Louboutin cage boots had a baby, it might look something like these “Val” Peep-Toe Caged Booties by Boutique 9 – and I gotta tell ya, I’m ready to adopt. I kinda love that they turned these into peep-toes and I’m a little obsessed with that silk bow. Wear with a simple black dress and let the shoes do all the talking. They’re not crazy cheap at $199, but they are considerably more affordable than the Louboutins, and just as drool-worthy. Yum! Available in black or natural.

If I had to make a fashion-related Things I want to Do Before I Die list, “wearing a Balmain dress” would be definitely somewhere in my top 3. After all, can you imagine NOT feeling like an ultimate goddess in the exquisite lace LBD below?
I like to think that the reason why Balmain dresses cost thousands of dollars is because they have sewn confidence into each piece, so whenever a woman wears Balmain she will be automatically oozing grace and feel sexy & fabulous. Yes, I’m fanboying again.

Victoria’s Secret angel Selita Ebanks was the first to wear this racy number back in March when she attended the New York Premiere of “Valentino: The Last Emperor“. She sure turned some heads in this mini LBD. Ex-Destiny’s Child member LeToya Luckett tried to pull off the same look at this year’s BET Awards, but failed miserably not least because of her clunky Alejandro Ingelmo platform heels.

Bebe Unzipped Lace Beaded Dress
UPDATE (08/15/2009): Apparently Bebe liked this dress so much, they knocked it off twice.

Bebe Sequin Beaded Ruched Lace Top
I know. You must be tired of reading all my Balmain vs. Bebe knockoff finds, but I will not stop and continue posting every Balmain knockoff under the sun because every woman deserves a little Balmain in her life, no? Even if it’s faux-Balmain.
Bebe seems now to be copying backwards from older seasons. In order to not be a too obvious copycat they made a top out of their Balmain knockoff version (considering the length of the original, the change does seem logical), but even that won’t hide all the other similarities. There’s no way their knockoff is going too look or feel remotely like the real deal, but for $89 Bebe has done quite a good job I think. Call me crazy, but I actually kinda like it.
