Christian Louboutin‘s “Bibi” pump is one of my favorite Loubies from the classic shoe styles department. I looooove the high arch and also that it has this straight column-like chunky heel; I just dig that on shoes, not sure why, but I love this (plus, it makes a high heel that much more stable/comfortable because the weight doesn’t pressure on a pinpoint-sized stiletto heel). That makes yet another addition to my never ending list of shoe obsessions.

Rough Justice “Kara” Platform Pumps

Rough Justice is a pretty new footwear brand and for their first collection they have decided to take some inspiration from the master of the red soled heels because these “Kara” platforms are obvious “Bibi” wannabes. Tood bad they’ve messed up the arch, otherwise it would’ve been a super great Louboutin alternative (though a pretty steep one at $200+). The pumps are available in black, turquoise, fuchsia, rust & stone suede.

I recently noticed that I am pretty ill equipped in regards of sunglasses. In fact, I own exactly ~~ONE~~ (UPDATE: make that 4 now) pair of sunglasses which I bought about 2 years ago on eBay. However, those sunglasses I absolutely adore and treasure. It’s a pair of chocolate brown oversized Miu Miu sunnies which cost me about $120. I haven’t been tempted to buy any new sunglasses ever since, but that might be about to change because I fell in love with Chloé‘s gorgeous Myrte sunnies. I really like the shape and the metal inlays add detail and are so cute! Too bad they retail for $297 which is not a price I’m willing to pay since I’m not that big on sunglasses in the first place.

UPDATE (10/14/2010): Lauren Conrad’s upscale fashion line may have tanked, but it looks like her line for Kohl’s, LC Lauren Conrad, is going pretty well. Maybe it’s so successful because she takes inspiration from her own fashion basics? Clearly, these sunglasses are spot-on Chloé’s Myrte knockoffs which she owns herself. I happened to browse ASOS for the newest arrivals today and was absolutely delighted to see an almost identical version of the Chloé Myrte sunnies for a much, much lower price. The inlays on the black version are gold instead of gunmetal, but I think I even prefer that. The sunglasses come also in brown tortoise.

Celebrity Style Trend – Floral Mini Skirts

When the H&M Garden Collection debuted last week, and promptly flew off shelves, I had a feeling that a floral revolution was upon us. I, myself, have been lusting after a floral bustier for what feels like ages. Of course the onset of spring always brings with it a love of all things abloom, but this year feels especially flowery. Clearly our favorite starlets are just as besotted – and with the floral mini-skirt in particular. It feels fresh and young and pairs equally well with knee-high boots as it does with sky-high heels. I don’t always advocate jumping on the trend wagon but in this case all I can say is “welcome aboard”.
