The Yves Saint Laurent Baobab Python Wedge is a statement piece on its own as it can spice up any outfit. I adore the juxtaposition of the various colors; the olive and orange among the gray python creates a frivolous pattern adding more depth and texture to the overall appearance. Also, the sculpted heel is so artistic and fascinating to look at. These would make a great addition to my closet and perfectly coincide with my love of neutral toned clothing. But as much as I love YSL, I definitely cannot afford these amazing wedge sandals for $1.995. Take a look at the wonderful steal below!

Jeffrey Campbell “For Real” Strappy Platform Sandals

Though a different color pattern, these shoes are definitely hot! With the magenta color and metallic undertone, you are destined to capture all of the attention. The sculpted heel is still very apparent just like in the YSL; the only thing that’s really missing would be the python print and a bit more straps. Other than that, the Jeffrey Campbell “FOR REAL” platforms are an identical match for $134.95. This steal is a sartorial sensation.

I must admit the first time I saw the “Palais” pumps by Yves Saint Laurent I didn’t like them very much. While I was madly in love with the vibrant blue suede, what I didn’t like was the carved heel and the exaggerated round toe. But as I previously said, sometimes you have to see a shoe on a person to truly recognize its beauty. And this was the case when I spotted the lovely Carey Mulligan wearing these iconic YSL pumps. From this moment on I was a reformed “Palais” lover.

ASOS Leather Biker With Leopard Print Pony Panel

If you can picture yourself wearing an animal print adorned biker jacket à la Miley or Jessica then this ASOS leather jacket might be a good alternative. Shame about the messy hair though! A sleek ponytail would’ve worked so much better with Jessica’s outfit.

Mmmmmm, what a fab little dress to wear when you want to look sexy for the summer time! I love the way Anna Faris wore the dress with some strappy platforms. And Jessica Simpson looks great in the Michael Kors dress as well. I just wish her headlights weren’t blazing and I’d be okay with the look. You see I love Miu Miu. I just can’t help it. While I may not approve of every collection, I like that Miuccia Prada always puts you on the fence with her designs. You can tell she’s one of the few designers who REALLY think outside the box and who sometimes sacrifice aesthetics for the sake of creativity & uniqueness. This might not work out every time with me, but I do appreciate her contribution to the world of arts anyway.

Today we’re talking clogs again. Le shoe du jour! They are everywhere now. The reintroduction of the wooden clog can be mainly attributed to Karl Lagerfeld who made the Dutch footwear look très avantgarde on Chanel’s Spring 2010 runway. However, personally I prefer Miu Miu’s more playful take on the classic clog. Unlike the Chanels, Miu Miu’s studded clogs are also quite reasonably priced at about $500 whereas Chanel’s version will run you in the thousands. Of course we understand that $500 can still be too expensive for a shoe you might want to hide in the darkest corner of your closet in a year from now.

Poor Jessica Simpson has gotten a ton of flack lately for her weight, but personally I think her body looks awesome – it’s her fashion sense that needed some work. Fortunately, she seems to have gotten into the groove of things again (and/or has a new stylist) and has been looking every inch the beauty that she is. The paparazzi caught Miss Simpson leaving the Ritz Carlton a few days ago, wearing a Stella McCartney Floral Print dress that (and I’m pretty certain about this) needs to end up in my closet for all to be right with the world. Jess paired the dress with a motorcycle jacket, a luxurious-looking, white Derek Lam bag and grey t-straps. Now let me see: I already have grey t-straps, a moto jacket and a white bag in my closet; I’m just missing the dress. Jessica, call me if you want to do a little swap-a-roo. I have a Forever 21 dress with your name on it!
