I wonder how Christian (yes, in my mind, him & I are on first name basis ;-) ) must feel, knowing that a lot of the shoes on the market are direct unabashed, unapologetic copies of his designs? And this bi-color heel is no exception. I’m gonna guess he isn’t feeling too bad because even if you could afford the $695 for this adorable (perfect for the office) ankle-strap, it’s sold out. But don’t fret; as I mentioned above, this heel too was knocked off.

This will probably sound cliche’, but I have only one thing to say to the designing team at Ivanka Trump: “You’re fired!” Seriously, I love a good bargain, but this outright laziness and lack of creativity is starting to really perplex me. I expected more from a celebrity endorsed line (that’s why I love Jessica Simpson’s line). BUT, if you could care less about the lack of originality, then this is a great imitation for you. I’ll just keep my (unsolicited) opinions to myself… this time. ;-)

Celebrity Look 4 Less – Blake Lively’s Gold Pleated Gucci Skirt & Sheer Blouse

A few days ago Gossip Girl actress Blake Lively helped making cupcakes for a good cause at Sprinkles in NYC. The blonde beauty looked stylish and festive in a cream sheer button-down blouse which she paired with a stunning gold Gucci leather skirt from the Resort 2012 collection. I’m not sure where she was headed with the dark green Brian Atwood Maniac pumps, but since I’m really loving Blake’s upper ensemble I’m willing to overlook her shoe choice faux-pas. Real vs. Steal – Yves Saint Laurent Baobab Python Wedge Sandals

The Yves Saint Laurent Baobab Python Wedge is a statement piece on its own as it can spice up any outfit. I adore the juxtaposition of the various colors; the olive and orange among the gray python creates a frivolous pattern adding more depth and texture to the overall appearance. Also, the sculpted heel is so artistic and fascinating to look at. These would make a great addition to my closet and perfectly coincide with my love of neutral toned clothing. But as much as I love YSL, I definitely cannot afford these amazing wedge sandals for $1.995. Take a look at the wonderful steal below!

Jeffrey Campbell “For Real” Strappy Platform Sandals

Though a different color pattern, these shoes are definitely hot! With the magenta color and metallic undertone, you are destined to capture all of the attention. The sculpted heel is still very apparent just like in the YSL; the only thing that’s really missing would be the python print and a bit more straps. Other than that, the Jeffrey Campbell “FOR REAL” platforms are an identical match for $134.95. This steal is a sartorial sensation.

Christian Louboutin‘s “Bibi” pump is one of my favorite Loubies from the classic shoe styles department. I looooove the extreme arch and also that it has this straight column-like chunky heel; I just dig that on shoes, not sure why, but I love this (plus, it makes a high heel that much more stable/comfortable because the weight doesn’t pressure on a pinpoint-sized stiletto heel). That makes yet another addition to my never ending list of shoe obsessions.

Rough Justice “Kara” Platform Pumps

Rough Justice is a pretty new footwear brand and for their first collection they have decided to take some inspiration from the master of the red soled heels because these “Kara” platforms are obvious “Bibi” wannabes. Tood bad they’ve messed up the arch, otherwise it would’ve been a super great Louboutin alternative (though a pretty steep one at $200+). The pumps are available in black, turquoise, fuchsia, rust & stone suede.

Where does one begin when a boot is called Miss Fast Plato? Except, you go Ms. Thang, with your bad self! Who am I to question the great Mr. Louboutin? Oh no, not I, said the girl nicknamed Ms. Heel. ;-) I don’t ever get the names he assigns to his shoes, but I do know that by wearing this simple yet sexy boot, you’ll be one badass chick. Well hello there, Miss Slow-To-Open-The-Wallet! We know you love to look good on a budget; that’s why we graciously went in search of a budget-friendly, but by no means, uncompromising sexy version of the Louboutin boot. And If I may say so myself, we did pretty good. “Gracious” by Nine West is remarkably similar (minus the heel height) for only a $109.
