They are certainly among the most luxurious I’ve ever seen, and yet oddly familiar…like a pair that Holly Golightly might have pulled out from underneath the bed looking for her crocodile shoes in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Of course, although these are fantastic, perhaps you may want to check out the other options below if your budget doesn’t allow for such a large investment.

This lovely option by Ivanka Trump, is both ladylike and modern at the same time. Perfectly polished for work, and yet they have a little added flirtatiousness to them as well. If there ever was a pair of flats that could look fabulous with a skirt, it’s got to be these. Kitten heels and pointed toes are usually NOT what turns me on about a shoe, but strange enough I think it totally works on these red suede kitten pumps by Isabel Marant. Maybe it’s the lavishly tied bow or the red suede or maybe that they look so French. But I do like these. A lot. Others, including a flood of Hollywood celebs, seem to favor these heels as well since the Poppy pumps have sold out rather quickly online. I especially like how Hilary Duff wore these with a grey tank and rolled up skinny jeans.

Gucci‘s S/S 2011 collection was some sort of style epiphany for me. I’d even go as far to say it was one of the best S/S collections I’ve ever seen. I loved everything from this collection: the colors, the fabrics, the silhouettes, the accessories and of course, the shoes! Gucci’s “Malika” strappy sandals sure do look luxe. The gold piping, the smooth velvet straps, the pin-thin gold stiletto heel. Perfection! Except for the not-so-nice price of $995.

Christian Louboutin is known for having a sense of humor, so it’s no surprise that while his shoes are immaculately constructed, many are decidedly irreverent. Are you guys familiar with the Italian shoe designer, “Casadei“? I wasn’t either until recently, when I came across a stunning pair of their platform pumps. They were very old Hollywood glamour meets modern day woman and I was immediately a fan. Even though many of their heels measure at least 5 inches, I’ve heard only wonderful things about their level of comfort. I am particularly enamoured with Casadei’s “3114″ Satin Platform Pumps. There’s not a whole lot going on with this shoe, besides classic construction, but I think you’ll agree that these would be a perfect bridal pump, among other things. Unfortunately, not sure if you caught a glance at their retail price, but that is in fact a 9 before the 50. Yes, they’re currently on sale, but that’s still a whole lotta dough.

So I absolutely adore this double-breasted wool coat by Stella McCartney. It is my ideal coat! The tailoring is exquisite as is the wool felt the coat is made out of. But as usual style and quality come at a price; in this case the price is as high as $2.495. Not exactly my kind of shopping budget. But since having a good coat is essential in the winter I tried to find an affordable yet stylish alternative.
