You can love or hate Kim Kardashian all you want, but there’s no denying that some of her outfits are absolutely superb! I’m not quite sure if this is mainly due to Kim having a really good stylist, but whatever it is, it works, so please don’t stop, Kimmy! Case in point: Kim’s body-con getup at Teyana Taylor’s VII Listening Party which consisted of a creamy white high-waist pencil skirt, a matching tight turtleneck sweater, taupe heels, soft waves and understated makeup. Doesn’t she look just perfect here? The sex appeal of this outfit lies within the curvaceous silhouette while the high-necked top and midi-length skirt bring some much needed elegance and class to Kim’s look. The minute I spotted this gorgeous outfit of Kim, I knew I would have to do a look 4 less of it. Soooo, what do you think? Is my budget-friendly take on Kim’s look on point or not so much?

Whenever I find myself getting bored with fashion (and let’s be honest: after 6 years of fashion blogging this is something that is inevitably going to happen from time to time), I either load up Pinterest or Instagram to combat the fashion blue and where I then spend countless hours browsing one image after another in order to reignite my love for all things fashion and recharge me with new ideas and fresh inspiration. Oh, the pitfalls of social media! To cut a long story short: during my last time hunting on Pinterest for new content ideas, I stumbled upon a pinned image featuring a woman wearing a gorgeous taupe tulle skirt and it was love at first sight. My research regarding obtaining said gorgeous taupe tulle skirt revealed that it was a handmade, long sold-out tulle skirt someone once had listed on Etsy. Yeah, story of my life. So I carried on with my life and had almost forgotten about that tulle skirt already when suddenly, yesterday I happened to browse Chicwish‘s newest arrivals and there it was: a fluffy, taupe tulle skirt looking almost exactly like the one shown in the pin. And it was available! For only $50! Needless to say I just *had* to recreate the whole look in the picture with that gorgeous new tulle skirt I so newly discovered. You like it?

What I love about style blogger Rachel from Pink Peonies is that she isn’t afraid of color. And ever since I saw her in these vivid cobalt blue pants I knew I had to recreate her fabulous look on a more accessible budget level. Et voilà! Here’s the result. Do you like it? Is it close enough to Rachel’s outfit?

A few months ago reader Carolyn e-mailed us and asked whether we could find her an alternative for the gorgeous baby pink moto jacket that Blair from Atlantic-Pacific wore in one of her outfit posts in February this year. Of course we took to this quest and were able to find a few suitable pieces, but none that I was perfectly happy with. I e-mailed Carolyn, made my suggestions and checked her request off the list, but this casual-cool pink look of Blair’s has never really gotten out of my mind ever since. Fast forward months later until today when I, while doing my daily research for this blog, happened to stumble upon this beautiful baby pink coat by JOA which instantly reminded me of Blair’s Sister Jane moto jacket. And while it isn’t a perfect match in terms of shape, the baby pink color as well as the material seem to be absolutely spot-on. And since I totally fell in love with this coat, I just had to recreate Blair’s look with our usual budget-friendly take. Hope you like my style blogger look 4 less.

Felt like doing a new budget look today. And as you can see I’m still very much in love with the “striped crop top meets fitted skirt meets nude ankle strap heel”-thing. Sorry, can’t help it, it just makes such a stylish and flattering combination I think. This time I added a couple of turquoise accents to liven up the outfit. Do you like it?
