And here we are again. The last day of the year has come and once more it’s time to say our goodbyes to a year gone by so fast. Reflecting on the last 12 months: the good, the bad and the ugly makes me all melancholic, excited and thankful at the same time. I know it sounds super cliché, but I love New Year’s Eve, it always gives me that sense of new beginnings and endless possibilities laying ahead. That’s why I love to dress up on this special day and celebrate it champagne, heels and lots of glitter. This year I felt like going with a black and gold theme. Simple elegance combined with bold jewelry. Sexy and daring without being overly complicated, a mantra I also want to become my mindset in 2016. What’s yours?
A few last words: make sure to say goodbye to all the bad things that have happened to you and leave them behind in the year 2015. Concentrate on a fresh, new start, reset your body and mind and do whatever makes you happy in 2016. Happy new year, everyone!

Selena Gomez may currently be on everyone’s radar due to her opening up about her chemotherapy to fight lupus, but she’s on mine because her sense of style, more than often than not, is absolutely top notch! One of my favorite Selena off-duty looks included a grey head-to-toe knitwear ensemble which she posted on her Instagram last year. Her getup was probably by Zara and it instantly reminded me of Marc Jacobs head-to-toe cashmere look from F/W 2014. I really loved Selena’s cozy meets casual knitwear look, but went to forget about it until very recently when I stumbled upon this awesome look-alike two-piece ensemble by BCBGeneration which looks just like Selena’s version. A few days later, I discovered another great look for less option at Stradivarius and took it as a sign to recreate Selena’s outfit here on this blog. What do you think, did I nail her look or what?

I know many of you are already preparing for the fall season (fashion-wise and mentally), but I’m not quite done with summer yet. Especially not with summer’s soft and fun side: light, pastel color palettes, sleeveless tops, short shorts and naked toes. Oh how I’m gonna miss all that in the next 6-9 months! So before I can dive into fall fashion, I had to kiss summer goodbye with one last imaginary outfit. What do you think? Do you like it?

Lately, I’ve been obsessed with soft, flesh-toned colors such as blush pink. There’s something so quintessentially feminine about that color that makes me want to turn my wardrobe into an altar for everything blush. So when I happened to come across this gorgeous nude-colored draped jersey skirt by Rachel Pally, I simply had to create a blush-toned look around it. I went full on matchy-matchy with this outfit which might be a bit too much for some, but I totally love it. Do you?

Can you believe half of the year has almost already gone by? Time flies, my friends, and summer has officially arrived – at least in our calendars! In order to celebrate the seasonal change, I created my first 2015 summer budget look to properly welcome the season of pool parties, BBQs, tan lines and cool drinks. For this look I took to the summer sky as my source of inspiration: baby blue with a little bit of cloudy white here and there and splashes of summery yellow everywhere in between.
