Christmas is right around the corner and today I was in such a festive mood that I decided to create a wintery budget look to honor the coldest of seasons. But it wasn’t until I was finished and very proud of my creation that I noticed this black-white-blush winter outfit might not be exactly weatherproof for colder climates (hello, backless loafers and sheer mesh body!). So instead of ditching the whole look and starting all over again, I simply decided to rename the outfit theme from “Winter Wonderland” to “Californian Winter Wonderland”. Pure genius, I know. But anyways: Happy Holidays, everyone! I hope you will be able to enjoy a relaxed and joyful Christmas with all your loved ones! And now step away from your computer and treat yourself to a Christmas cookie or two.

Budget Look – Vacay Mode

by Irina on April 29, 2016

It’s almost May which means it’s time to start thinking summer wardrobe. The weather here has been so depressing lately that I needed some sort of fashionable pick-me-up to lighten my mood, so I started dreaming about a summer vacation in Greece or Italy and all the stylish summer outfits I could wear there. And just like that a new budget look was born! This outfit has a strong focus on fringes and ruffles, a cute and casual summer look. Do you approve?

Valentine’s Day is approaching and I’m still not a big fan. I do like to dress up for special occasions however, that’s why I decided to let my imagination run wild to create an imaginary V-Day outfit. This year I wanted the look to be bold, so I went with a red and black color theme. The floral-embroidered top is obviously the eyecatcher in this look and adds some serious drama while the rest of the outfit is kept classic yet sexy yet feminine. Do you like it? And what are your outfit ideas for Valentine’s Day?

New Year’s Eve Outfit – Black & Gold

by Irina on December 31, 2015

And here we are again. The last day of the year has come and once more it’s time to say our goodbyes to a year gone by so fast. Reflecting on the last 12 months: the good, the bad and the ugly makes me all melancholic, excited and thankful at the same time. I know it sounds super cliché, but I love New Year’s Eve, it always gives me that sense of new beginnings and endless possibilities laying ahead. That’s why I love to dress up on this special day and celebrate it champagne, heels and lots of glitter. This year I felt like going with a black and gold theme. Simple elegance combined with bold jewelry. Sexy and daring without being overly complicated, a mantra I also want to become my mindset in 2016. What’s yours?

Selena Gomez may currently be on everyone’s radar due to her opening up about her chemotherapy to fight lupus, but she’s on mine because her sense of style, more than often than not, is absolutely top notch! One of my favorite Selena off-duty looks included a grey head-to-toe knitwear ensemble which she posted on her Instagram last year. Her getup was probably by Zara and it instantly reminded me of Marc Jacobs head-to-toe cashmere lookls from F/W 2014. I really loved Selena’s cozy meets casual knitwear look, but went to forget about it until very recently when I stumbled upon this awesome look-alike two-piece ensemble by BCBGeneration which looks just like Selena’s version. A few days later, I discovered another great look for less option at Stradivarius and took it as a sign to recreate Selena’s outfit here on this blog. What do you think, did I nail her look or what?
