Mary Seng from Happily Grey is one of my absolute favorite personal style bloggers at the moment. I love scrolling through her Instagram feed; she has such a great taste in clothes and I adore her sense of style which is modern yet feminine and elegant yet also bold and fearless. To me it feels like Mary isn’t afraid of playing with fashion and taking risks while at the same time still maintaining her unique style and genuineness. One of her recent looks particularly caught my attention; Mary wore a white oversized chunky knit sweater with a beautiful forest green wool skirt which she then paired with a timeless black quilted Chanel bag. I loved this outfit so much that I just had to recreate it on a more accessible level with budget-friendly options. Let me know what you think of my white and green blogger winter look for less.

Christmas is right around the corner and today I was in such a festive mood that I decided to create a wintery budget look to honor the coldest of seasons. But it wasn’t until I was finished and very proud of my creation that I noticed this black-white-blush winter outfit might not be exactly weatherproof for colder climates (hello, backless loafers and sheer mesh body!). So instead of ditching the whole look and starting all over again, I simply decided to rename the outfit theme from “Winter Wonderland” to “Californian Winter Wonderland”. Pure genius, I know. But anyways: Happy Holidays, everyone! I hope you will be able to enjoy a relaxed and joyful Christmas with all your loved ones! And now step away from your computer and treat yourself to a Christmas cookie or two.

It’s almost May which means it’s time to start thinking summer wardrobe. The weather here has been so depressing lately that I needed some sort of fashionable pick-me-up to lighten my mood, so I started dreaming about a summer vacation in Greece or Italy and all the stylish summer outfits I could wear there. And just like that a new budget look was born! This outfit has a strong focus on fringes and ruffles, a cute and casual summer look. Do you approve?

Valentine’s Day is approaching and I’m still not a big fan. I do like to dress up for special occasions however, that’s why I decided to let my imagination run wild to create an imaginary V-Day outfit. This year I wanted the look to be bold, so I went with a red and black color theme. The floral-embroidered top is obviously the eyecatcher in this look and adds some serious drama while the rest of the outfit is kept classic yet sexy yet feminine. Do you like it? And what are your outfit ideas for Valentine’s Day?

And here we are again. The last day of the year has come and once more it’s time to say our goodbyes to a year gone by so fast. Reflecting on the last 12 months: the good, the bad and the ugly makes me all melancholic, excited and thankful at the same time. I know it sounds super cliché, but I love New Year’s Eve, it always gives me that sense of new beginnings and endless possibilities laying ahead. That’s why I love to dress up on this special day and celebrate it champagne, heels and lots of glitter. This year I felt like going with a black and gold theme. Simple elegance combined with bold jewelry. Sexy and daring without being overly complicated, a mantra I also want to become my mindset in 2016. What’s yours?
A few last words: make sure to say goodbye to all the bad things that have happened to you and leave them behind in the year 2015. Concentrate on a fresh, new start, reset your body and mind and do whatever makes you happy in 2016. Happy new year, everyone!
